Traveling Ji International Youth Hostel (Lijiang Ancient City)

I was not sure how long it would take to hike back from Tiger Leaping Gorge, so in order not to affect my flight time, I booked this youth hostel on the spur of the moment. It is not far from the bus station, Lion Rock and the observation deck. I also found a farmer's market nearby, where the fruits are very cheap. Luggage storage is available at the front desk.

Facilities: The bathroom door handle was peeling. I turned around and my fingers were bleeding. I asked the staff if they had any medicine or band-aids, but there was nothing. Also, there is only one two-hole socket on the bed, which can be used to plug in an electric blanket or charge a mobile phone. It happened to be snowing in Lijiang when we checked in and it was quite cold, which was super inconvenient. Environment: It is obviously an old youth hostel. The walls of the room seem to have cancer and have not been repaired. The common spaces especially the laundry space are too far away (on the 4th floor). Hygiene: The rooms all have private bathrooms but it seems that no one cleans them every day. There is a lot of hair on the bathroom floor. Service: When I checked in, the boss and the housekeeper were not there. There was only one staff member who didn't know how to handle the business. It took a long time to check in. When I needed a front desk or help later, it felt like having no front desk was the same as not having one.

The location is good, near the outer circle of the ancient city, no need to climb too many stairs, there is a bus stop right outside, and transportation is very convenient. There is a rooftop terrace where you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

The room was very clean and quiet. The lady boss was also very nice. She gave each of us a bottle of beer (although I don't drink much) and we could listen to folk songs. The bottles here were painted with traces of every traveler, and the pages were filled with blessings and yearnings for this place. Qingshe is super romantic and free~

The hostel's social mode is on, and guests can enjoy board games and music at the bar. It's a great place to find a date.

Lijiang Ancient Town is a good tourist attraction. When I came here before, I stayed here most of the time. The room facilities are complete and the sanitary environment is also acceptable. Overall, the price-performance ratio is good.
