the guest house is perched on the top of the hill, there are many steps to walk up and down from the entry from ancient town. Not appropriate for elderly or anyone with mobility concerns. The guest house is 50m from a viewing deck that has wonderful view of Lijiang ancient town. The guest house manager will assist with luggage. Through email, the guest house will contact guest a day ahead, to find out the arrival method, so that he can offer the exact vehicle drop off point or pick up point on foot. Everything in the room works well from bedding to shower to toilet and decoration of the room. It is a cozy environment and the room i had is quiet and comfortable.

Choosing Songzhuju was such a smart decision! The room was cozy and incredibly comfortable, and the courtyard environment was so healing. The proprietress is not only beautiful and kind, but also meticulous and reliable! She even helped us with our luggage and thoughtfully explained all the important tips for getting around and sightseeing. Staying here felt as comfortable and relaxed as being at home. I highly recommend Songzhuju for anyone visiting Lijiang – it's definitely the top choice for accommodation!

This hotel is very close to Dali High-Speed Rail Station, making it super convenient for transportation. The Chinese-style classic twin room has unique decor and is very affordable. The room was well-cleaned, and the basic amenities were complete. There are plenty of dining options nearby, all within walking distance. The service is warm and friendly, and it offers great value for money. It's perfect for travelers arriving in Dali by high-speed rail and looking for a short-term, transitional stay.

The hotel staff were excellent; they not only helped us carry our luggage from the city parking lot to the guesthouse but also brought it up to the second floor. They also gave me directions to popular photo spots and recommended delicious restaurants within the ancient city. Manager Wang was even better; he specially arranged for us to take photos on one of their guesthouse balconies, and the pictures turned out amazing!

Very convenient location both for inside of the ancient city as well as out (5 min walk east for vehicle access - note there are no cars in the ancient city). ******* takeout delivery is available, although about half the time the delivery people have trouble finding the hotel and might call you to clarify. The hotel itself is run by very warm staff who are very available on WeChat and will offer you fruit and random snacks that they might be eating at the time, as if you were a family friend visiting their house. It feels like a family run business. There are some cute budgies and parrots at the front desk you can play with. In the courtyard is a pond with a bridge and in the pond are fog machines and a decorative boat. It’s very charming The hotel is connected at the western end with a riverside cafe right next to a famous bridge, and it’s also where the breakfast (rice noodle with various condiments and various dim sum) and afternoon tea is served. There’s also a variety of ancillary benefits like the free tea making experience at a nearby ancient tea house, or free trying of local ethnic costumes. Free self serve laundry and dryer. Free transport to and from the airport. Our room has a tub and a balcony overlooking all the rooftops and it’s very picturesque. There’s a projector mounted over the bed to project onto the opposing wall with built in VIP Chinese streaming services. Separate rain shower and automatic toilet. The size of the room is modest but the room is very efficiently used. To be honest I have no complaints (other than making ******* delivery a smoother experience, although I don’t know how) and would highly recommend them!

So pleased I chose to stay here. The location is perfect for exploring. The owner was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They kindly upgraded me to a bigger room when I arrived and gave me a tour of the facilities. The have a tea room, washing facilities and also a gorgeous rooftop. I’ve included a photo of the rooftop. The bed was so comfy and I loved the seating area, it was the perfect place to stay while I enjoyed my time in Lijiang. It’s closest to the North Gate for DiDi or if you need to be collected for a tour. Also, the owner was very kind and helped organise a trolley to help with my luggage when I sadly had to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The rooms are located within the ancient city walls, just a few minutes' walk from the Grand Water Wheel, and directly opposite the night market, making dining and entertainment incredibly convenient. The rooms are decorated in a traditional Chinese style, and the courtyards are beautifully arranged and elegant. Upon entering, it immediately catches your eye – this place is truly beautiful! The room hygiene is excellent, the hot water is powerful, and the staff are very enthusiastic. There's even a tea room available for guests to enjoy tea and chat. The best part is that they also have a super large parking lot, which is a rarity within the ancient city, so self-driving guests don't have to worry about finding a parking spot.

Our stay at this hotel was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, the manager, Xiao Liew, made us feel right at home with his warm hospitality. He welcomed us with tea and shared his expertise on Yunnan tea, guiding us through the different varieties and helping us find ones we truly enjoyed. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly, attentive, and eager to assist. The property itself was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. Its location is also a major plus—just a short stroll from Lijiang Ancient Town, making it easy to explore the surroundings. Xiao Liew’s recommendations for nearby dining were spot on. Each restaurant he suggested offered delicious meals that our family of three thoroughly enjoyed We are grateful to Xiao Liew and his team for making our stay so memorable. We would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area

Beautiful place to stay! The traditional style and decor is beautiful, the amenities are great and bathroom is modern and nice. There’s a nice courtyard to sit in and sitting areas. The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly and the owner spoke English. She cared for me when I got sick as well. I had a wonderful time hanging out with the owner and some other guests having traditional drinks and snacks. There was free fruit and cute cats. The location is great in the old town with lots of restaurants and shops around. I would definitely stay here again! Great price.
