Arriving at the end of the afternoon, we were treated to a smiling welcome, certainly but very academic, listed almost "robotic" in a great hubbub due to other arrivals, and a very surprising question: "would you like the Housekeeping during your stay ? » (at 140€ per night I think this question does not arise). No help with luggage even though we were very loaded and without an elevator. Huge disappointment upon discovering the tiny room (there are no other words) but whose surface area is indicated on the site so so be it, let’s move on! Hangers all "cracked" so impossible to hang coats (and no other place elsewhere in the already very cramped room), no handkerchiefs, bathroom without heating (hence the door of this one open to our arrival but which still takes away space in the room) and toilets where you can only sit at an angle if you want to avoid the wall… But the worst was spending the first night: qualifying as terrible, between the neighbor's pee which we could hear drop by drop, the coughs and snoring of the other neighbors, the various ups and downs of the stairs and the cries/laughter of customers in the corridors which gave us the impression of being in bed with us: no soundproofing; but having said that earplugs on the bedside upon arrival are a real clue on this point! As for the breakfast, it is not catastrophic but there is some letting go and some bad choices: the scrambled eggs look like sticky runny eggs (both mornings), the pastries are dry and few in number , the industrial fruit juices from a mediocre distributor and the jars of jams from 5 different brands placed on the top of a shelf all dripping without cups are quite repulsive… Positive point: the location in the city center and the careful decoration. Unfortunately this is not enough to return to the Hôtel de la Treille.
