This hotel is very good. There is no reception. Everything is done by entry codes. Code to get inside the hotel and a code to get into your room. Make sure you have this information before you arrive. No lift so not recommended for elderly people unless on ground floor. We only had breakfast once but it was very good. All clean and very quiet. The nearest cafe is about 15 mins walk.

Lovely boutique style hotel. Only a few rooms but charming and beautifully presented. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a large bed and really nice en-suite. Very peaceful. Easy walking distance to old Lille and car parking nearby. Also the citadel park opposite is a nice open space for walking and cycling. Breakfast was good and plentiful.

Great 3-day weekend in Lille, thanks in particular to the Esplanade! We really appreciated the courteous and efficient welcome upon arrival from the owner, as well as the attention and efficiency of Joe who welcomed us every morning for breakfast. Hearty and good breakfast. The room was spacious, quiet, clean and very well equipped. There is no front desk but we had everything we needed, including recommendations for nearby restaurants. The building, a bourgeois family house, is well located and very secure, with nearby transport. Really nothing to complain about, especially since, wishing to have twin beds, the owner graciously had an additional (comfortable) bed installed in the bedroom next to the double bed.

The best quality/price ratio that I have ever seen. A high-class establishment where every detail is designed to strive for excellence. The rooms are very spacious, the equipment and materials are of high quality. This particular hotel is truly special in the good sense of the word. A must-see.

Superb discovery with my friends, the welcome and the infrastructure were great. Contrary to some opinions, we found that for a building (which is very beautiful) in the city center, we were not disturbed by the noise and had an excellent night. I highly recommend. THANKS

This intimate hotel gives pride of place to works of art which are everywhere, rooms and common areas. The building, a very beautiful mansion, gives an even more refined character to this place. Huge staircases with purple carpet, generous sofas on each floor for a break. Sublime room, very comfortable bed, bathroom with walk-in shower, but also a huge bathtub on the mezzanine. Excellent breakfasts in the beautiful room overlooking the trees of the Esplanade. A wonderful address.

Hotel is in a good location. Building and rooms are beautiful and match the atmosphere. However, the air conditioning in the room spontaneously made a lot of noise every 2 minutes at night. We would stay 2 nights. After the first night we raised the problem at reception, who indicated that the handyman was free so they could not do anything. We were advised to turn off the air conditioning if it bothered us. It was 24* Celsius at night this weekend so this was not an option. The whole way the staff handled this complaint was very poor. We decided to leave a day early. Very unfortunate because we were looking forward to our city trip to Lille for a long time... To date, still no adequate solution. So the hotel is really NOT recommended
