We had a horrible experience with Mama Shelter Lille. We got stranded in Lille so booked last minute, which was only possible through *********** with prepayment. When we arrived late in the evening with our children it turned out there was a very loud dance party going on in the hotel, reception area and bar. Our rooms would be just above this. One member of reception staff laughed with us for being so stupid to prepay, said there was nothing to be done, and continued chewing gum and slopping on his chair, smirking and oggling the party-goers. It was like standing with the children and our bags in a very loud and sleezy night club, and I stood there for an hour with the basses banging on my ears while his colleague did try to fix things, but he couldn't contact anyone from the hotel or do anything or wasn't allowed to do anything at all, except in the end find us another hotel because by then it was after midnight and I couldn't book anything else anymore. Tried to call them several times today about my refund, but no one picked up the phone. If you want to try sleeping in a loud night club with funky furniture, this is your place. If not, or if you are traveling with children, best to stay away. It's not for you. Wish we knew. I am still trying to get my money back...

The location is close to both stations and it is very convenient for shopping. The day before yesterday was also very good, knowing that I left early in the morning and recommended me a breakfast that can be taken away directly. very convenient. The room is quite small and the bed is quite small, but there is no way that it is an express hotel type after all. I also hurriedly stayed. But it is still recommended. The restaurants and hotels on both sides of the hotel have coupons.

The location of the hotel is very good, next to the opera house and good service. The hotel is in the city center, about a three-minute walk to the subway station, restaurants, cafes and shopping malls are very close to the hotel, very convenient!

We were assigned an accessible junior suite though we didn't request an accessible room.. The bathroom was half finished and the wiring was not completed with the switches for the separate toilet and bath located in the doorway. There were signs pasted on the door to the toilet and the door to the shower stating that the hotel offered its apologies for the inconvenience! There was a workman's support pole found under the sinks which had to be removed by the technician when we complained. There was not a single hook, clothes stand, towel rack or rail anywhere in the bathroom, toilet or room. The hotel staff explained that they would send a technician a second time to drill hooks in the bathroom, we didn't bother since we were staying only 2 nights and didn't want the dust. The shower glass in the shower stall could not contain water within the stall and the floor became wet after we showered. Location wise the hotel is perfect and the staff were polite. Breakfast was a mix of hot cooked food and the usual cold cuts, cheeses, breads, yoghurt, fruits and juices. The breakfast room changes to a bar at night which serves affordable and nice cocktails.

The parking lot is at the back door of the hotel. Other facilities are available. It is more convenient to enter and exit. The hotel with more than one hotel is really clean and tidy, and it is easier to find a hotel that is more satisfactory.

Initially thought this would be a typical budget hotel , however it exceeded expectations. Our rooms were immaculately clean and the bed was comfortable . The shower was great and toiletries were provided. We opted for the breakfast and were glad we had - a good variety of hot/cold options alongside warm bread and pastries. an efficient coffee machine helped !.The staff were super helpful and friendly I had charging problems with my phone and one of the staff loaned me her iPhone charger which was well over and above what she needed to do. The hotel is conveniently located to station , old town and it was great value when bought as part of Eurostar package

We arrived on a Friday afternoon. Got a little lost from the station to the hotel, but it really is not far to walk, we just came out of the wrong exit. There were quite a few people at reception when we arrived but they were quickly seen to before we checked in. We had room 110 which was usual Ibis standard. We only had breakfast on one day, but there is plenty to choose from for a reasonable price. As a Silver member, I got my usual welcome drink of wine and a beer for my husband. Really helpful reception staff who helped us with travel within Lille. The metro is a few minutes walk away. We also could leave our luggage for a few hours on the day of check out. Close to everything in Lille. Highly recommended!

Hotel central , idéal pour visiter et à quelques stations de metro du stade Mauroy. La déco est vintage revisitée , très beaux lustres. La porte de la sdb de la 206 pose pb , il n' y a pas assez de place. Manque de propreté dans la sdb, pomme de douche. On trouve de la moquette au sol posée sur du parquet qui grince. Des distributeurs d'eau sont présents aux étages, l'hôtel est climatisé. Le personnel était accueillant. Petit dejeuner top, avec le fromage sablé. Le rooftop ouvre à 16h, les cocktails sont bons mais relativement élevés pour une ville de province 16-18, 7 le coca. Vue décevante.

This is a real bang for your buck. If you’re looking for a budget stay in a trendy city like Lille. This is really the place to be. Except for the mold. But that’s really the only thing that could be better. The lobby has a real hipster/jazzy vibe and their music is to fall in love with! I stayed with school for a few days and the stay was just amazing, it sucks that we didn’t really stay all that long in the hostel but I would definitely come back with the same classmates. 10/10 would recommend again!!
