Kommeno Bella Vista

We LOVED this place! With a breathtaking view, a well thought out room, a gorgeous pool and such a wonderful and kind family at the helm, I highly recommend! By far, this venue had the best shower in all of our Greek accomodation (what is it with Greek showers??) and the bed was super comfortable. The location is lovely and there are restaurants and shops close by. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Corfu ❤️

We enjoyed staying at Bella Vista. Spiros and Voula Kostas who run this hotel are amazing! They offered us espresso coffee and cookies daily and helped us out with transportation needs. We got a room with a partial ocean view and we loved sitting out on our balcony seeing the beautiful view! The pool is lovely and the view from the pool is spectacular! The Kommeno area is so beautiful and very peaceful! Our room was spacious and had a kitchen and sitting room. There were two Tavernas/ restaurants very close to the hotel. One is just down the steps from Bella Vista and had great food and an amazing view. The other Taverna called Panorama was about a 10 minute walk and also had a fabulous view and food! We definitely want to return and stay there again. Next time we will rent a car to get around better. The only drawback was that they don’t serve breakfast anymore so be prepared to have what you need for breakfast because the two restaurants don’t open until afternoon. There are a lot of steps going down to the main street where the restaurants are but we enjoyed the workout since we were eating a lot of delicious food. The grocery store was pretty far to walk to so a car would be nice. Thank you Spiros and Voula! What a lovely experience we had!

This hotel has an amazing view and is absolutely lovely. The owners are so helpful and not overbearing just really wanting you to have all the information you need. The apartments are very clean and comfortable with everything you need and fantastic sea views. There is not a very near place to buy groceries and water but it is still within walking distance about 15-20 mins no probs on the way there but hilly need to be reasonably fit on way back. Most residents hire a car. We like walking so didn’t. There are about three local tavernas easily reached then there are resorts that can be walked to along main road, Dassia in one direction about 30 mins and Gouvia in other direction about 40 mins, Ipsos about an hour. You do have to be careful obviously when walking on road to avoid traffic. There is a really good bus service from the main road which can go to these resorts or further. We went to corfu town easily on this bus. We managed all local resorts on foot on way there but you do need taxi back which was fine 15 euro or 30 for corfu town. Beautiful stay we had the pool virtually to ourselves all week which was amazing. Thank you to the team for making us so welcome.

We arrived at midnight and received a warm welcome. The family could not do enough to help. We had a two bedroom apartment with a large terrace, the views from the balcony were absolutely stunning. The rooms were cleaned and fresh towels and bed linen were provided regularly. The bathroom was well appointed and modern the kitchen was fairly basic but perfectly adequate if you feel like cooking, but why would you? We would recommend a car. There are a couple of really nice restaurants nearby serving great authentic Greek cuisine. The pool and surrounding terraces were immaculate. Most of the surrounding area is steep terrain so you do need to be reasonable fit, I’m fat and nearly 60 but we managed just fine. The steps up from the bar across the road give you a good cardio workout 🤣 I’d have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone. Finally the owners were very friendly and helpful, especially Spiros son who went above and beyond what you’d expect. THANK YOU David and Maria

We stayed here for 6 days, the view form the studio is breath taking, the people were very nice. There is few bars and restaurants around the facility, but no supermarkets, you have to do you shopping elsewhere, even though there is a small mini market just below the bella vista. The service was excellentthe rooms were very clean and in a perfect shape.

Stayed at this condo for four nights in June for a wedding in Corfu. The apartment was a little smaller than it looked like in pictures, but the views were amazing. The Wi-Fi was a constant problem throughout our stay and I had to go out side in the courtyard to actually use it, it didn’t work in the room. I asked for extra towels one day and was told that they wouldn’t have any towels for the other rooms if they gave me extra. This is the first time I’ve heard this anywhere and later walked by a linen closet full of extra towels that he didn’t want to let me use. Another disappointment was that the pool bar wasn’t open the entire time we were there in peak summer season. The most disappointing part of our stay was arriving a day late due to flight delays coming in from the United States. I shared this with management before I arrived and showed them communication from the airline confirming these travel issues, but they still insisted on charging me a fifth night even though I didn’t stay there. I work in the hotel industry myself and would always give travelers a refund for a night they didn’t stay if it was for a reason out of their control and they communicated about it. Spiros could have refunded me this fifth night but he chose not to. It would have been easy for him to make this right and make up for the other issues we experienced, but he stood firm in his decision to collect our money for a night we didn’t stay with him.
