Without doubt the worst experience my wife and I have ever had. This place is a joke. The bed is old and has no support whatsoever. The kettle was broken and needed to be replaced. The shower could not be adjusted to provide warm to hot water and you could not get water for a bath. There was dust everywhere especially on the lamps and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. Access to the building for suitcases is impossible. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Stayed one night with breakfast in the morning. Firstly, the door is a chore to unlock, doesn't open straight away and you have to lift the door to get in. The Rooms: Looked nice, two rooms seperated by a curtain, nicely presented beds. However a towel that was provided had what appeared to be dried blood on it so i would not recommend using the towels. Breakfast: We ordered the traditional english which was supposed to have bacon but is crossed out for some reason. It was a plate with what looked like a quarter of tinned beans which were lukewarm at best, the sausages tasted cheap and just barely cooked, the hash browns had no taste, hard, and seemed like they were deep fried in old oil, the egg was rubbery, we got a little tomato that was mushy and could have gone off, the other customers got half a slice of unbuttered toast each but we didn't get any. The milk had bits in it, we was given cups of boiling water with a couple of little packets of coffee next to it. None of the food or milk seemed fresh, no care was put into the food, do not eat here. Conclusion: Wouldn't recommend.

The quirkiest place I have ever stayed. A bungalow opposite a pub and an indiaqn restaurant all run as one operation. There are rooms above the restaurant too. We arrived and were shown into our room in the bungalow - compact - but everything you need, and perfectly clean and acceptable. I had promised ourselves a curry so in we went - food die city I am afraid and MSG must be a staple item - barely got a wink of sleep as a result. Not the room or the bed's fault - mine for not scouting it out! We should have eaten in the plough. Bright and early next morning and back to the indian restaurant for brekkie! make your own coffee and generic weetie bix - then orange juice, and then "full english" No it wasn't! A plate of beans with a sausage, a circular fried egg tow crap browns and a bit of tomato was inedible. We ate what we could and left. I know it was budget accommodation - but a sleepless night and a breakfast that was a complete turn off don't make for a glowing review - sorry!

Our biggest complaint is that the internet coverage failed and the poor person on staff could not restart it. The room itself was clean and the beds comfortable. The only staff person had limited English and while he tried his best, I was not always sure he understood a request (or us his response). Not his fault, and he was very pleasant and desired to be helpful.

Whilst the accommodation was adequate and the initial impression was ok, behind the bedside cabinets was dirty and the en suite wasn’t much better. Free breakfast was woeful….we was placed at a table in a dark freezing cold restaurant for 30 minutes after ordering our full English breakfast without any drinks being offered and very poor communication, after 30 minutes the breakfast arrived for the beans to be straight out of a tin and not even warmed up, the sausage was only just warm, the hash brown you could have smashed a glass with and the egg looked grim, we left without eating. Definitely will not be returning….Avoid!

Two night stay at ATZ&H . The owners are Indian. The twin room we had was very small. Carpet not been hovered, my partner found a half eaten packet of crisps behind the bedside drawers! Shower was good. Breakfast was included in the price. First breakfast,I ordered scrambled eggs on toast, it consisted of a boiled egg chopped up finely on a piece of very lightly buttered toast which was inedible (I couldn’t eat it as it was also cold). We didn’t go for breakfast the following morning! This is a fair and honest review of our stay here. I will never stay here again! I wouldn’t recommend at all.

Scruffy car park, old beds and mattress, room cold, shower scruffy, needs a paint job, not enough plug sockets. A lot of noise in the evening. Tv minute, draws falling apart, can’t fill the kettle, taps too shallow. Curtains have crusty white marks on them. It’s my first time here and last

Stayed here this last weekend for a family wedding nearby. This is the third time we have stayed at this venue, the other two times were find but after this weekend, we will not be back. Firstly, as a family/group of friends, we took over the whole of this hotel - everyone who was there was there for the same event and this had been booked some months ago, so they knew exactly how many people they would have staying. We were only allowed to book for two nights, not one and whilst that was ok for us, some of our family and friends could not stay for two nights due to cost/work commitments, so I thought that was a little unfair. Our room was very dusty, there was a layer of dust on everything and the bathroom needed some attention. The shower was difficult to work and the water pressure was non-existent and there was only teabags in the room, no coffee. As there were so many of us and the restaurant area is quite small, we decided to book staggered breakfasts for the Saturday morning and asked for 8am - we were told that they were too busy then and we could have 8.15. We arrived at 8 am the following day, expecting to have to wait and found the restaurant empty so we sat down for breakfast. The menu offered a traditional english breakfast but there was no bacon?? The breakfast consisted of one sausage, a quarter of a tomato, a hash brown a teaspoon of beans and a fried egg that you could have bounced off the floor it was so overcooked and rubbery. The only saving grace was the toast, but is it almost impossible to do that badly. We decided as a party that there was no way that we would have breakfast there again so all decamped to a pub a few miles away and what was quite frankly a world away from what we had the day before. If only we had known about this place before booking, we would have stayed there. Not sure what has happened in the 3 years since we last stayed but based on this visit, we won't be back. We paid over £85 a night for bed and breakfast and would have at least expected our room to be cleaner than it was and a breakfast that was edible. This is not an isolated opinion, everyone that stayed there this last weekend felt the same - about 20 of us in total. If you do stay there, and I wouldn't advise it - get your breakfast elsewhere.
