Cottages at Little River Cove

The cottages are so cute with the different colors and names for each one. We stayed in the one bedroom cottage, that was well maintained, had all the necessary items needed like it was your own home. The bed was comfy the fireplace was nice to have on chilly nights. The grounds of the property were well maintain.

Other than the location, the Mendocino coast, and the view of the ocean, these cottages were average at best, especially considering their cost. The sleep sofa in the living room was hard and consisted of 4 sections, making it almost impossible to sleep comfortably. We also had to ask for a linen pack for the sofa. There are sky lights in the living room, so when the sun was shining, the room was too bright. The screen door to the porch was broken though semi-functional. The single lounge chair in the living room was irritatingly wobbly. The kitchen was very minimally stocked with cookware, plates, flatware, etc. Zero plastic ware for storing left-overs. The electronic door pad stopped working the 2nd day. Although we reported the issue, the door pad never worked again during our stay, but regular keys were available. The driveway into the grounds is extremely steep, which required us to enter and exit very slowly, at an angle, or the bottom of our car scrapped. Also, there is only 1 designated parking space per cottage so having any guests over was difficult. Because the view from our cottage was so incredible, I would like to say I'd stay here again, but I feel that the all the cons outweigh the lovely view.

Good size for a couple, plenty of room to move around. It's not fancy, but we weren't looking for that. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. The surroundings were quiet and felt safe. 15 minute walk to the nearest beach access (van damme). Check in/out was very easy, host was friendly and communicative. Overall it met my expectations

We will never stay anywhere else on the coast! I was impressed with all the thought that goes into setting up the rooms. We brought our own blender, coffee, creamer, paper towels, and so much more and everything was included and fully stocked in the room. There was even a complimentary (yes, complimentary) bottle of wine. Now that we know how fully stocked the kitchenware is, we didn’t have to pack so much our second time. There’s even a grill and a fire pit in the community area. This place passes the vibe check! 10/10

The cottages are very well appointed and clean. Bedding is very comfortable. Beautiful views. Definitely pet friendly too.

This place is amazing! We reserved at the last minute and the host was so concerned about our stay that they drive down from another property to check on us and bring us a bottle of wine.
