What a little gem of a place this is. We stayed in Oatfields and what a lovely spacious room. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows perfect! No noise so we slept like logs! Breakfast choice was excellent with plenty to choose from even for a fussy eater like me.

A hidden gem nestled in the countryside. I visited with my mum after reading the reviews and we weren't disappointed - the food was absolutely delicious, staff were very freindly and welcoming, and the rooms were beautiful. Lovely walks nearby and location is so peaceful. We will definitely be returning, thank you for a wonderful stay.

On a trip with my family from Denmark we just hoped in for lunch. I ordered pulled pork on a flatbread. It was more like Mexican tortillas I got and not a good one. Please serve some simple good food instead of trying to make it fancy. I really don’t know what I got, and the taste of the pulled pork was not amazing.

I love this pub so much, the outdoor areas are amazing, the indoor is so comfortable and the staff are so warm, welcoming and professional. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the sausage roll on their amazing ploughman's has changed recipe! It was incredible before....bring it back :-)

Excellent venue. Place was packed when we visited - because it is so good. We travelled up from Dorset to meet family and it was the perfect meeting place. Efficient professional staff. Great range of drinks and ales. Food was faultless. Well done Litton I can remember when this place was derelict but it certainly isn’t now.

Visited the Litton for my son`s 21st along with my wife, his brother and sisters, After being warmly greeted at the bar we were shown to our table in the Whiskey bar. This area was a little chilly but this was rectified by one of the waiters having the radiators turned up. Service from the waiters was excellent, attentive without being excessively so. My preferred wine, a Merlot, was unfortunately unavailable so I had to make do with a very acceptable Cotes Du Rhone (1st world problems). The selection of starters arrived and were all lovely. The main courses were excellent. Two of us had the braised ox cheeks which were cooked to perfection (that wine stood up to the richness of the beef perfectly) All plates were cleared, a sure sign of satisfaction with the food. The location itself looked amazing with all the Christmas light and decorations in place and the interior was very welcoming. All in all, a very enjoyable evening. Many thanks.

Our friends picked the Litton for an annual 50th uni reunion meet up. We liked everything about it,especially some seriously good food and brilliant service.Actually one of the best “ country house “ hotels we’ve ever stayed in ; or maybe it’s a boutique hotel or a country pub or all three but it’s great and we look forward to returning one day.

We arrived on Friday night for a family dinner to celebrate my 22year old daughter’s birthday. A very warm welcome with a surprise complimentary glass of bubbly for the birthday girl. We were taken to our table by Ollie who was an excellent host, along with all other staff who served us. Our drinks and food orders were taken and drinks were delivered promptly. Starters to share were delicious (Spiced pulled lamb naan breads, Mixed herb and garlic bread with cheese) and all the mains were good. Portions were generous so only one pudding was ordered. Cocktails, wine, ales, soft drinks, non-alcoholic lager and coffees flowed - great selection! Even a birthday cocktail arrived, which was delicious and very much appreciated. Thank you to the Litton and all staff who made our family meal so special - we’ll definitely be returning for a second (and more) visits.
