A very value for money hotel. Next to the sea. But rooms need renovation (esp the bed it’s not so comfortable). Breakfast is very basic. Maltezsna is a very quite village 15min from main village of Astypalaia. I would recommend if you have a medium vacation budget

We recently stayed as Maltezana Beach Hotel as part of a tour to Astypalaia. We were a little bit hesitant, as it was rated as a three star, so we thought it would be rather basic. All I can say is that we were pleasantly surprised. The setting is fantastic. Directly opposite a beach which is serviced from the motel with a beach bar and pool overlooking the sea. The staff, rooms, facilities and meals were excellent. If you want a place that is very clean, hospitable staff and has excellent service; this is the place to go. We will definitely be going back there

Πήγαμε δύο ζευγάρια για μία εβδομάδα τον Αύγουστο, είχαμε κάνει κράτηση αρκετούς μήνες πριν και έτσι καταφέραμε να έχουμε δωμάτια με θέα τη θάλασσα. Τα δωμάτια είναι πολύ ευρύχωρα το στρώμα του κρεβατιού είναι καλό αλλά η τουαλέτα δείχνει την ηλικία της και χρειάζεται ανακαίνιση. Το ξενοδοχείο διαθέτει μία φανταστική πισίνα η οποία είναι πάντα καθαρή. Το beach bar υπολειτουργεί καθώς πέρα από καφέδες και αναψυκτικά δύσκολα θα βρεις κάτι άλλο να πάρεις έτσι το αποτέλεσμα είναι οι ιδιοκτήτες να χάνουν κέρδη από τη μη σωστή λειτουργία. Για σνακ το μόνο που μπορείς να βρεις από το beach bar είτε στην παραλία είτε στην πισίνα είναι ένα τοστ απλό ή μία αραβική πίτα με μία μέτρια σως και μπουκιές κοτόπουλου ή hot dog. Για αλκοολούχα ποτά και κοκτέιλ μην το συζητήσουμε. Το πρωινό χωρίς μεγάλη ποικιλία το κρίνω μέτριο. Αυτό που δεν μας άρεσε καθόλου ήταν η συμπεριφορά του προσωπικού χωρίς να είναι αγενείς δεν ήταν ευγενικοί, 7 ημέρες που μείναμε δεν ακούσαμε πάνω από δύο φορές καλημέρα. Ευχαρίστως θα ξαναπήγαινα αρκεί να έβλεπα λιγάκι πιο χαμογελαστά πρόσωπα και να ανακαίνιζαν τις τουαλέτες.
