Dockside Aparthotel, BW Signature Collection

Upon arrival, the staff mentioned that I hadn't made the hotel payment. They informed me and showed me that the payment was done through trip.com. I was asked to contact trip.com myself. Luckily, the support service team was available and sorted out the issues within almost 30 minutes. And trip.com given compensation for the booking issue in Liverpool. The lady at the receptionist said that I need to collect breakfast from the receptionist every day. She also mentioned that it's very basic and not worth the cost. The pictures show the same breakfast given every day. There is always no staff at the reception as well. The Wi-Fi was the worst and always disconnected, and I couldn't connect. The room was not bad, but there was no housekeeping every day. They didn't provide coffee and toilet paper, and the fridge was spoiled. They only provided one roll of toilet paper when I asked for it, saying they would give it but didn't. On the second day, after exploring the town and returning to the hotel, the main door wasn't operating, and I couldn't go to my room. I waited outside in the cold weather for more than 30 minutes.

Great location. 2 bedroom both quiet & clean.  Just a little too soft for us about the mattress.

I’d like to share with you, my review of dockside apartments in Liverpool and hope that you can avoid the problems that I had. Firstly the apartments are conveniently located on the docks and very clean. We arrived at the apartment/hotel and was allocated an apartment 607 but after entering the room and finding an unpleasant smell we were allocated another room 207 which type of apartment and was told this is the only other one available as the hotel was full. After entering this next room we found firstly there was only 3 soft seats available (2 seater settee and a single chair plus 4 dining chairs despite this apartment being designed for 4 occupants and the web page showing four soft seats. We found the second bedroom to have no windows and it was so small it didn’t have any wardrobes and not even a single hook to hang a dressing gown, (this was not apparent on the web site). As others have mentioned the mattresses on the beds are clearly of questionable quality and springs can be felt. The biggest problem with this type of apartment is the ventilation system in both bedrooms which is interconnected to the bathroom and a cupboard in the living room which is working 24 seven and can be clearly heard especially in the dead of night and culminated in all four occupants getting very little sleep. We raised our concerns about these issues with the general manager who was totally in denial, unapologetic and very dismissive about these serious shortcomings. Indeed this is not a situation I would ever want to find myself in again especially at a cost of over £300 per night which is what we paid and I would urge you to check if you are allocated one of these rooms.

We stayed at the Dockside Apartments last night and it was absolutely great! We got a great deal on *********** and really didn’t expect much for the price. On arrival the reception was locked but a quick phone call brought someone to help us. Note: this is a temporary reception; they’re waiting for a new one to be completed which will include a sitting area and possibly refreshment facilities. We were given room 203 with views over the dock - two good sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, comfortable lounge/kitchen/diner. The equipment was toaster, fridge, microwave and kettle and enough crockery and cutlery to make a meal. We only had breakfast. We had a good nights sleep. The shower was powerful and hot. There’s no parking on site but the King’s Dock multi storey is nearby (£18 per 24 hours). Walking distance to Albert Docks, Museums and Liverpool One. We spoke to Andy at check out to get the history of the building. It was such a good stay that we’re planning to go back soon.

When we arrived the outside looked a little bit disappointing, don’t be put off! The staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom and lovely shower. Everything was in there you would need. We normally wouldn’t stay in this type of room but it made a lovely change to have the space and comfort. We were five minutes walk from the bars, restaurants and cafes in Albert Dock and about a ten minute walk from Liverpool One. Nice and close to everything but the apartment was very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay in Liverpool and hopefully will be back and definitely stay here again. Also close to the M&S and AO arenas, perfect if you’re attending an event here. Ample parking very close. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Next time we will bring Aynsley some oatcakes!

We stayed for one night via attending a gig at the M&S arena which is literally 3 minutes walk, fantastic and clean and fresh great location too, staff very helpful especially Chris who helped us with a small issue within 5 minutes, we will definitely be returning here for future visits.
