Duke Street Townhouse

Stayed at Duke Street Townhouse for one night to attend a concert in the city,The apartment is in a great location to explore the city being close to bars and restaurants,From booking to checking out the whole process was easy,Our apartment had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms,they were well furnished and very clean

I booked this apartment for my family (2 adults 2 children) as it had brilliant reviews. The apartment was dirty on arrival. I phoned immediately and they called housekeeping team up. The carpets were not hoovered, the dining chairs were full of food and hair. Dust and hair on the window sills. Dishes had crumbs and coffee stains. They sent house keeping team up. They washed the dishes and left them on the side with water dripping on to the floor (no towel to dry them) they hoovered the rug and seats and left everything else.(they were there 12 minutes) Asked if there was anything else to be done.. Baring in mind this property needed a deep clean not a 12 minute run around with the hoover. When I spoke to the contact number they said if I wanted a refund I'd have to leave the property within 30 minutes (who can find a hotel in 30 minutes with 2 young children on a bank holiday Sunday?). We ended up having to just stay at the property but left super early on the Monday as I felt so unclean staying there. It says city views, the views we had were absolutely horrific (photos attached) The property is a bit of a walk into Liverpool one/docks if you were to go with children. My youngest hates walking a distance. Be aware there is a £75 security deposit to pay incase of damages or smoking. I was told this would be refunded back within 2-3 days if there was no issues with the property when housekeeping go to clean it. I'm now on day 7 of still no refund!!!! Such a shame when reviews were so positive. But we will not be returning to this property again.
