Base Serviced Apartments - Duke Street

Good value accommodation in a convenient location. Very clean and had everything that was needed. The showers were really good. Pillows are awful - I would bring my own next time. Bed comfy. The Car Park is very tight - you could not get a larger SUV or MPV in there.

Would not recommend to anyone the worst place you can stay. Upon arrival they expect a holding deposit before you can get keys and check in is only from 3pm-6pm and if you want to wait until after that time they charge £25 for a staff member to wait behind even tho the staff don’t get paid £25 an hour. Staff are extremely unfriendly and very condescending and belittling with no respect for customers. When trying to pay the deposit the manager started shouting at me because I was waiting for the card machine to be turned round so I could enter my pin as I was told that was the way it had to be done and my card does not have contactless so that was not possible. For a man in his late 40s and manager of the properties he showed no sign of customer service or respect even when asked why was he shouting at a 20 year old girl all he had to say was that I was the immature one even though I kept calm all while being shouted at.

Truly awful experience with these people! The check in times were completely ridiculous, 3 pm till 6 pm and they wanted £25 for a " late check in " Also wanted deposit paid before arrival. Unfortunately I booked this through booking. Com and it was non refundable. I cancelled and lost over £200 but just didn't want to line their pockets any further. They couldn't even be bothered to answer my queries with understandable English.

Stayed in the 3 bedroom duplex apartment.Friendly welcome when checking in. Great location. 10 minute walk to Albert dock and Liverpool One. Spacious accommodation with everything you need. Views were great. A little tired here and there with minor cosmetic damage, cracked tiles, scratched furniture etc. This didn't really make any difference to our stay. For what we paid we thought it was good value. Smelly stairwell, think bins were stored nearby. This was a bit unpleasant but once in apartment it was fresh smelling. The place was very clean. We enjoyed our stay but I wouldn't stay again with my family of 2 adults and 2 tall teens because of the beds. Bedrooms are spacious with plenty of room but beds are only double size (4ft 6). Really not suitable for 2 adults to have a comfortable sleep. I can't understand why the company don't put larger beds in the 2 biggest bedrooms. Good sleep is important for a good stay. Blackout blinds and/ or curtains would improve sleep quality too. Overall a good place but a few improvements needed

The apartment was perfect, ideal location and it had everything we needed for our stay. We spoke to Helen and she was brilliant. She was very kind and welcoming, we’d continue to rebook again just with how friendly and incredible she was. Would definitely recommend this. 5 star service.
