The Masseria has a nice setting and very friendly but rather inexperienced staff. As they say - the devil is in the details - which is very true when it comes to the hospitality business. An example there is nowhere to dry your swimming clothes as the radiator in the bathroom is off. Yesterday's bread for breakfast is not ok at this price level, nor that natural non-sweetened yogurt is only available on out of five days. Otherwise the breakfast was good with an excellent and nice breakfast host. But the big no-no was the kitchen which we tried for dinner and got the worst pasta in all my visits to Italy. Most of the dish was cold or lukewarm. The octopus must have been leftovers from yesterday - cold and tough as leather. However there are very nice restaurants in nearby town. All in all - this was the most expensive masseria or hotel we stay in during our tour of Puglia and the least good when it comes to value for money.

My wife and I spent four fantastic nights at Masseria Lilei and cannot recommend it highly enough. A charming beautifully restored hotel with wonderful staff. Special mention must go to David and Gloria in reception and also to Linda and her F&B team. A perfect base to explore the southern end of Puglia.

We stayed at the Masseria Lilei for 5 nights and used it as a base to explore central and southern Puglia including Lecce, Gallipoli and Otranto. It’s a stunning Masseria , beautifully decorated with large rooms and a peaceful pool and garden area. After busy days sight seeing it was a delightful place to come back to. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful , with advice from David and Clara of where to park in Lecce and best restaurants to eat in, to the beach clubs on the east and west coast. The local food in the restaurant is delicious, as is the rose produced in its own vineyards. We highly recommend it and would love to go back

Masseria Lilei is a special place. They have put so much thought into every aspect of the experience. The mix of the new and old architecture and design is stunning. The entire staff was beyond accommodating and friendly and we were so well taken care of. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner and everything was delicious and fresh (lots of ingredients picked straight from the masseria’s garden). Dinner was one of the best meals we had while traveling in Puglia too. For breakfast, it was nice to be able to order eggs since we found them hard to come by in other parts of the region. It’s a perfect location to make day trips all up and down the coast. You can easily get to either side of the coast in less than an hour. We had 3 relaxing days at Masseria Lilei and it’s a place we’d absolutely come back to!

This Masseria scores a 10 in all areas. It started with the warm welcome and tour by Clara, David and the De Pascalis family. In the days that followed, we noticed that these people are intrinsically motivated to make sure you have a fantastic time in this Masseria and the surrounding area! Clara and David speak perfect English and were very friendly and helpful with planning trips to nearby towns. The entire plot has been laid out with an eye for detail. The courtyard, the rooms, the garden, the pool and the restaurant look fantastic. Elegant and neat. In the restaurant you will be looked after by ladies who know how to provide a nice breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their English is less good, but with a few Italian and English words they know exactly what you mean and wish for. There is a whatsapp service with which you can pass on your wishes for lunch, dinner and when you are lying by the pool. Because the hotel has been open since June 2022, the wellness area is still under construction. This should also be ready in Q3/Q4 2022. It is a perfect complement to the whole. We are sad that we had to go after 5 amazing days. We would love to come back here soon! Clara, David e la famiglia De Pascalis, grazie mille per questa meravigliosa esperienza.

Masseria Lilei made our summer in Puglia special. The professionalism of all the collaborators involved and the family and passionate atmosphere of the owners offer moments of magic and well-being to those lucky enough to stay in this corner of paradise. I stayed at this beautiful farm with my husband for 4 nights and the experience far exceeded our expectations! The structure has recently opened and it is wonderful how much it transmits peace and relaxation from the first moment. The room was large, very clean and tastefully furnished; the catering service was equally good, we had the opportunity to try the typical Salento dishes and appreciate their simplicity and excellent taste starting from breakfast and ending with the tasting menus for dinner. Immersed in nature we also enjoyed the swimming pool, it felt like being in a harem of absolute peace. The location of the farm is strategic, located just a few minutes from Lecce and the marinas, all easily reachable by car. The staff and ownership are definitely the icing on the cake: helpful, friendly and extremely kind. We felt pampered like at home! We highly recommend this place for those who, like us, want to spend a relaxing holiday to escape from the stress of everyday life, you will leave regenerated!!! We will definitely come back to try the SPA service. Thank you 🙏🏼
