We stopped here for a drink after the climb from Llafranc. The hotel is beautiful and is in a wonderful location. Did not have food on this occasion. There was obviously a staffing issue. therefore, the service was slow. Our server was pleasant regardless of this.

El Far was the holiday we needed! It is so peaceful on the cliff and the views are amazing. The hotel has only 9 rooms and the staff are so nice. The room was great - all new bathroom fixtures, *amazing* towels and sheets, wood floors which kept everything spotless and clean. The most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. There’s a drone video on the hotel’s website - watch that to get a sense of the views. Our pictures don’t do it justice. The team there were all extremely hardworking. We loved everything about El Far.

El Far is special not just because the location is stunning and the historical site is magical and the room is spacious and the shower is incredible, but also because of the people. Olga made us feel like family. She looked after us, told us to relax, and we did. Highly recommended.

The hotel was fabulous! Olga was incredible the entire visit. She gave great recommendations for restaurants and hiking! The dinner was very overpriced for what we received. I ordered lobster with rice and there was barely a mouthful of lobster. Breakfast was included and very nice. Minibar in the room was complimentary which was nice. Would definitely stay here again.

The restaurant is fantastic but it becomes very expensive once you factor in the possible traffic fine for using the hotel car park. To avoid the fine you must inform the reception of your car details and they have an arrangement with the local authority to inform them of those details so you don't get fined. If you use the public var park just below the hotel car park the same applies. The sign is in Catalan only despite most visitors to the top being foreign and despite the fact that the vast majority of them will not speak Catalan. I've seen some crazy things in Spain but this beats the lot. To be fined for leaving a public car park by the only possible exit route is plain daft. Why even have the car park there ? And why make this particular road for pedestrians only? It hasn't even got any buildings on the road. I've now racked up €800 in fines this summer. Beware !

Amazing experience! Olga and Berta were absolutely great! Olga helped us with everything, restaurants, excursions, etc The food at the restaurant was just ok. But the stuff was very good! Rooms are very clean

We had a spectacular experience at El Far. Starting with the warm welcome from Olga, she helped us every step of the way from charming conversation, restaurant recommendations, calling taxis and any other way she and the other staff could help us. The hotel is beautiful, the view is incomparable, and the setting is ruggedly gorgeous. Loved every bit of this place.

We stayed here for a short break of 3 days. The hotel is small, only nine rooms or so. Sympathetically restored, mixing the old and the new. It is a well run hotel with an excellent team who are always ready to help. It is perched high above Llafranc, which means it is a bit of a trek into the small town by foot, and it is steep! But that is rewarded by stunning views and peaceful evenings. Our room got both sunrise and sunset, although the majority only get the latter. They have a 6 century bc village in the garden. Good parking and WiFi. The restaurant serves good Spanish food, mainly fish and seafood, well cooked in a simple style. Good attentive service and a well chosen wine list.
