Hotel is located in a great location, surrounded by beautiful countryside and its own extensive grounds. Only dropped in for a drink, but the hotel has been stylishly renovated with old, mixed with modern features (ground floor restrooms, particularly funky!). Really nice lounge bar area, in an old hunting lounge style was really nice place to spend some time for a drink. It was also firework night on the evening of the visit and the hotel had set up some great firework night stalls and features as you came through the hotel drive and front courtyard. Definitely go back for an overnight stay some time to really enjoy the place.

Beautiful, impressive building and grounds. Staff very friendly and attentive. However, the interior furnishings leave a lot to be desired , there is a fine line between classy and tacky and unfortunately I felt that the latter applied. The stuffed animal heads in the bar are off putting enough but the ladies bathroom , which I was told was designed by the owners wife, was on another level altogether. Totally OTT, lots of pink and bling !!!! Not sure how it fits in with the otherwise grandiose surroundings. We visited for afternoon tea, it was average at best and overpriced.

We recently stayed for two nights in one of the garden suites at Pale Hall. The hotel is full of charm and has an interesting history. The grounds are large and well kept. We were made welcome and a very polite valet took our cases to our rooms, whilst explaining the history of the hall. The accommodation was luxurious, spotlessly clean and comfortable, I slept so well. The food was excellent, especially the tasting menu and wine pairing that we enjoyed on the second night. The service was also excellent. We were lucky to have lovely sunny weather, which made exploring this beautiful part of the world even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again. We had a really lovely time here, which was just what was needed after going through a stressful time recently. Thank you to the staff at Pale Hall who all ensured that we had a wonderful stay.

Fantastic hotel. Excellent, attentive service from the start of our stay all the way through to the end. With all staff being helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Conwy room which was spacious and extremely comfortable. The bathroom wasn't anything special however, plenty of towels and hot water. Food was fantastic. We had Sunday lunch at the pub which was extremely tasty and I'd highly recommend. For our second night we had the 6 course tasting menu which was some of the best food I'd ever tasted. Having a walk around the hotel grounds is a must as the artwork is a must see. On leaving we were given a bag with water and some biscuits for our journey home which was a nice touch. Left feeling extremely relaxed and can't wait to come again.

Great hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive. However, I have to mention that I was a bit thrown off by some of the decor. They’ve added stuffed animal art to the walls, and while I appreciate creativity, seeing dead animal heads displayed as art isn't really my thing. But, that's just my personal taste. The hotel is a bit on the pricier side, but the lovely atmosphere and great service make it worth considering if you're looking for a nice place to stay.

It is wonderful. We arrived yesterday, April 14th as we wished to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, so we opted to have lunch at 1pm. My wife and I arrived a little earlier and were made to feel very welcome by the staff in reception. They showed us into the bar area and made us feel like we belonged, such was their warmth (and this is a feature of the staff as we've experienced in the recent past). The bar is thoroughly Edwardian in decor and you sink into the settee's. We took our time with a glass of Voignier each then were eventually escorted into a beautiful restaurant. I shan't wax lyrical about the food because it is marvellous; it really is. Ryan attended to us throughout, managing the balance between attentiveness and distance. There is no doubt that when we have another celebration we will visit Pale Hall. You really do relax here. The grounds are lovely, with sculptures in various locations; so it is a good idea to go for a post meal walk: you won't be disappointed. We loved the almost three hours we spent there yesterday, and we'll be reminiscing about it in the future. Thank you Pale Hall.

We called in for an afternoon cream tea. The staff were excellent and the service was first class. The terrace and surroundings are outstanding. The coffee was good BUT you really need to up your game with the quality of the food you provide guys. Some people who don't like clotted cream prefer butter ...you didn't provide any. Plus, the scones were stodgy and tasteless....just saying !

Nearly perfect stay. Lovely location, rooms clean, nice furnishings and great views. The food was excellent, couldn’t fault it. The staff were very friendly. The food was expensive but the room was good value. The only negative point was the heads of badgers, hares and foxes displayed around the bar as well as other exotic animals such as the zebra by the toilets. I had asked the staff about these who said they were recent additions, this was disappointing. It’s off putting to see animals made into ornaments in such a way, e.g. foxes wearing bow ties and holding shot guns makes a mockery of these beautiful creatures.

Lovely stay, shame about all the trophy hunting relics presented on the walls. Zebra, buffalo heads mounted on the walls as well as foxes and badgers. Without this i would say the hotel was fantastic, lovely food and polite staff, rooms clean and great grounds. Proudly presenting the head of a zebra in the bathroom did make me feel sick.
