The New White Lion

Stayed here with friends for a relaxed Christmas get together. What a beautiful hotel! Well maintained, very cosy and great location. Rooms were large & clean with a very comfortable bed. Mark & Karen were fabulous hosts, very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was freshly cooked and really tasty - and plenty of it. Poppy (the dog) is a little darling who also made us feel very welcome. There was an honesty bar which was fully stocked with every imaginable tipple, which we made good use of All in all it was a great stay - would definitely recommend. Thank you all x

It was my first visit to Llandovery and what a wonderful little town it was, and to have a hotel as nice as The New White Lion was an added bonus. The room was to the highest of standards, the breakfast was lovely, and they had so many options to choose from but the hosts were just amazing. Mark & Karen were so accommodating and welcoming, you couldn't ask for better hosts. I would highly recommend this hotel and if I visit Llandovery again, I will be staying there.

Our first visit to Llandovery and spent 3 nights at The New White Lion. There are not enough words to recommend the wonderful hosts Karen and Mark. Nothing was too much trouble they catered for our every need and more. Such a relaxing chilled environment especially after a full days of activities! There was a lounge to chill in and an honesty bar which was a wonderful added touch, free tea, coffee the most delicious hot chocolate and free homemade cookies , cakes and pastries, a real quiet country house setting. The rooms were beautifully presented with each one having its own individual touch, free toiletries (shower gel / bath soak, shampoo etc) that were topped up. Karen and Mark really know how to make you feel so welcome. Lastly the breakfasts, just wow! Cannot give enough stars to say how great they were which included home made croissants, home made sour bread, full English and so much more. Karen really went over and above to make sure we had whatever we wanted and all the food was delicious . Another added bonus was the detailed information and recommendations that Karen and Mark gave for places to visit and places to eat our evening meal. We will certainly be back.

Stayed here whilst visiting friends nearby. Cannot fault any aspect of this place. Nice welcome, lovely room with everything you need. Great breakfast with everything served quick and hot. Very friendly owners. Lots of nearby pubs to visit. Landovery is a very friendly place.

I spent 5 days/4 Nights at this lovely Retreat Bed & Breakfast.... Karen and Mark the proprietors were great! Karen is a Chef and Mark ensures the smooth running of everything... needless to say the food was delicious! The rooms and communal guest areas were very nice and comfortable of and the town of Llandovery is lovely with quaint eclectic shots, 2-3 pubs and a town square.... I would highly recommend The New White Lion to anybody visiting the Brecon Beacons....!

Just stayed for 4 nights , just perfect absolutely amazing hospitality from Karen and Mark breakfast was first class using all local produce with plenty of choice and the service was equally first class . Llandovery is a lovely wee town with lots character to explore it’s perfect for short or long stays
