Spacious room, very quiet and a comfortable bed. Welsh breakfast was served hot and cooked well. We had a nice evening meal there, steak pie and Balti and dessert of fruit crumble which was good value, the young waitress was very good. Hotel in a nice village that also has some good walks. Loo leaked a bit in bathroom but wasn’t a problem for one night, room very cold on arrival but a blow heater soon warmed it up. Overall a good stay.

What a find. Can highly recommend this place. Full of character and so welcoming. Room 3 was lovely, clean and well stocked. All the staff were friendly and keen to help and the evening meals were very good and presented nicely. Breakfast was very good too with plenty of choice. Decent size car park at the back. Bar was well stocked and decently priced. Will definitely be back!

Excllent hotel all round, staff very friendly and welcoming, dining and breakfast both very good, room good but maybe a little updating would not be amiss, superb Jacobean staircase to admire. We would certainly stay again. Diolch yn fawr.

I stayed here with several friends on a motorcycle weekend away. The Cain Valley Hotel is a nice, welcoming place to stay. It's clean and comfortable, with excellent evening meals and a really excellent cooked breakfast in the morning. Emma and her colleagues did everything possible to make our stay pleasant and comfortable, and it really worked. They are a credit to the place. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and I'd definitely stay here again in the future.

Perfect location in an historic village. A warm welcome from Sean the Manager. The room was spacious, light and comfortable. Enjoyed the evening meal and large cooked breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We hope to return one day.

Lovely welcoming authentic welsh country hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms have lots of original features and are really comfortable. Off street parking. Dogs and kids were welcomed. We had dinner and breakfast and would happily stay again.

Stayed recently overnight as we were in the area. Warm welcome and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great, historic hotel but very, very basic especially the double bedroom where we stayed. The room and hotel are very clean but very basic and extremely dated. No luxuries but for £90 a night B+ B,our expectations were not high. The dinner menu was great and the meals tasty but, unfortunately, the breakfast was dreadful. Limited choice of cereals and only orange juice and steamed sliced bread for toast. Good choice of yoghurts.Breakfast looked appetising but it was tasteless and the bacon was hard and not edible. Did not complain as we were only staying for one night. This place is OK for an overnight stay as long as you are contented with basic.
