I stayed two nights at the Grannell hotel, Friendly Staff, room was clean, enough parking and food was good, a must try there food team nights. Soroundings was nice and easy to reach other location. All round a nice place to stay. I would recomend this hotel.

Last night we attended their Mexican food evening. Last night was our fourth visit here and yet again we were not disappointed. The Mexican Night menu delivered an exceptional quality across every dish, with sensational flavours that transported me back straight to the heart of Mexico. From perfectly crisp nachos loaded with tangy salsa and melted cheese to expertly grilled quesadillas, each bite is a celebration of bold, well-balanced taste. The chicken fajitas boasted smoky, tender pieces wrapped in soft tortillas, while the burrito, packed with spiced beef and refried beans, offered a deeply satisfying experience. The freshness and vibrancy shine in the Baja chicken salad, where zesty lime dressing enhances the natural sweetness of avocado and peppers was amazing. The rich, comforting flavours of the huevos rancheros, with their simple ingredients, popped with taste. The portions were just right and the execution of service flawless. And the crowning glory was he chili chocolate brownie with mango ice cream, is, without exaggeration, one of the best brownies ever. Deep, decadent chocolate meets the delicate heat of chili, melting perfectly against the cool, tropical ice cream which left me with a nice warm feeling. A true masterpiece. This isn't just dinner; it's an experience worth savouring. At £15.95, it’s a steal for the quality delivered. Highly recommended for any lover of bold, indulgent cuisine

We've been in touch the Granell a few times for the Sunday carvery. The staff provide excellent service, showing you to your table and explaining the process. Paying up front gives you the ticket to take to the serving area and having 'vegetarian' on my ticket ensures my vegetarian option (main and gravy) were ready when I got there. The food quality is fantastic and the portions leave you very satisfied. I would definitely recommend popping in with your family, you won't be disappointed!

We used to go to the grannell for sunday dinner a lot, and as it was my daughters birthday we thought we would treat ourselves. It is not the same place anymore, you have to pay upfront, so forget adding extra drinks to the order. you don't get shown to your table anymore, you have to queue through other diners whilst getting your carvery and having got your carvery you then have to go back and push through the queue to get condiments. Parking is a free for all so just dump your car anywhere. The meat was dry but the rest of the veg wasn't too bad.

We went in for the sunday carvery and it was the best Sunday lunch we have had out. In a very long time Couldn't fault it. All staff are really friendly and welcoming. We would go back if we was ever in the area again. We was celebrating my husbands 50th birthday and that's all he asked for while we was away in the area. Was a Sunday lunch. There's very little choice in pubs and restaurants around. But we was so happy we found the little gem Thankyou xxx

Super friendly staff behind the bar, drinks were reasonable and all together a pleasant visit, we didn't eat so can't comment on the food 😀 my search is for the most wonderful ploughman's lunch, I'm hoping they offer it on their menu for 2025,but without the big pot of Branston pickle that other pubs deem as pickle good enough for ploughman's

We were served at the bar by an extremely pleasant and efficient young man. Shown promptly to our table. The food came out quickly and was lovely. Anytime my husband tried to get up to go to the bar, his order was taken and drinks appeared in minutes. The staff always seemed to be there when you needed them but were not constantly in your face. Wish we had room for dessert but we were too full from our starter and main. Will definitely visit again, soon I hope!

I honestly can't rate the service, food, cleanliness and facilities at this fantastic little venue enough. We're staying the night as a couple and couldn't be happier with the hosts. We tend to keep ourselves to ourselves but they are so friendly here, I felt I'd known them longer. The food was outstanding and this was evidenced by the volume of people just coming for food. The room is spotless too. Lovely welcome pack. These guys work hard and it shows. I highly recommend. Many thanks
