Aqua Hotel Bertran Park

Stayed in the Aqua Bertran hotel as a solo traveller and very happy i did! The Hotel: Firstly staff were lovely and always on hand if you needed any help The hotel itself was very clean, had spacious rooms and the showers were absolutely amazing! The food and drink at the hotel are very well priced, pretty much the same cost if you went out, i always find hotel's are usually a bit more expensive but it wasn't, the bar closes at 12:30am which i thought was a really good time I had breakfast included within my stay and was very happy, plenty of options for drinks and the buffet is standard, they do have either pancakes or toasties being made each morning as well, i ate a few times in the hotel for Lunch and it was lovely! The pool area is kept nice and clean, if you're travelling as a family there's not much for kids in this hotel Location: I felt the location was absolutely perfect for what i wanted, if you walk out of the hotel and turn right, 5 minutes walk is the *****! you have plenty of shops, bars and restaurants on route If you walk straight ahead for a few minutes you'll find the 'square' which has a beautiful Church as well as numerous restaurants and bars, and if you walk around 5 minutes further you're at the beach! again you'll find plenty of bars and restaurants as well as the castle (that takes around half an hour as its quite a long beach) There are a few bars as you walk outside the hotel if you didn't want to go too far, i felt pretty safe here and in Lloret in general The only tip i would give is if you're travelling to the hotel by shuttle, it drops you off at the ***** which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel but the shuttle drivers aren't the most helpful (I used easyJet and flew to Barcelona) the shuttle time was around an hour and a half there and it dropped off at Hotel Helios which was also where i was picked up from on the way back, to get to the hotel - cross the road and you'll see a massive 'Magic park' ******, turn right just after that and follow the road down for around 5 minutes and the hotel is on your left

We had a week's stay with me, my daughter and cousin to celebrate their birthdays. We were booked into room 1111 (triple design room) in the main building but upon entering, we quickly realised that it was far too small. There were 2 single beds and a pull-out sofa but with three ladies with suitcases and nowhere to put them except for the floor, and generally wanted to walk in the room without scraping the walls to get from one end to another, we asked for an upgrade. That night, with the Euros (football) taking place, our neighbours (men – two or three of them) decided that they would sing drunkenly and very loudly football songs before passing out. This room must have had an upgrade because the bathroom was really nice with a walk-in shower and large sink. There was also a balcony that we could sit outside in but we didn’t get the chance to use it. So, we spoke to Sara on Reception (very good service, who made us feel very welcome) and paid for an upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite. Huge difference in terms of space with the entrance being the dressing area, the two bedrooms and bathroom led off this. Both rooms had French style patio doors and balcony and our room overlooked the swimming pool in the main block. So this is the few things that we spoke about this hotel: 1. There was no kettle for tea & coffee making facilities. This was even more apparent because one of the days it rained and being stuck in your room with no way of even making a hot drink made a difference. Also, we had to check out of our room at 5.15am so having a kettle would have allowed us to have at least a cup of coffee before we left. 2. The bathroom – this was definitely an older bathroom style with an over the bath shower. unfortunately, the shower screen was not large enough and water went everywhere when we had a shower. We wondered why the room attendant left so many towels; it was for the floor to mop up the water. 3. The bedding – there was a mattress protector that had a plastic feel, so the sheet on top kept slipping. Then there was a sheet, followed by another sheet, a naked quilt on top of that with another sheet on top. In the main room, the quilt was dirty, so I had to ask for another quilt. The bedding was a mess with too many sheets. 4. Second bedroom only had a sofa-bed that was larger than the double bed in the main bedroom. The first couple of nights was fine, but afterwards, it was not comfortable. They would have been better making that room as a bedroom and putting two single beds in there. A sofa is not needed. 5. Swimming pool – bring your own beach towel. I have never stayed in a hotel that has a pool and not to supply you with towels for the pool area. My daughter had to buy one. By the way, the pool is not heated so be warned – it is very cold. 6. Breakfast – the team are very friendly. Basically the same meal but each day they changed certain items to mix it up a bit. We’ve had a fabulous week at the hotel despite the weather and would definitely recommend, staff were friendly especially Maria (Carmen?) in the restaurant who was always very attentive. We’ve sat by the pool and in the bar (due to the weather) and always been well looked after, we booked through Jet2 All inclusive and had lots of lovely food with a variety of choice whilst the pool is small we’ve never had an issue getting a sunbed. It’s in a quieter part of town away from the ***** and there is a square in front so would recommend you always walk with others not in your own for safety .. just like you would in the UK and have your wits about you.

A great budget hotel with brilliant friendly staff. From the minute we walked in the hotel to the minute we left, we encountered only happy, smiling friendly helpful staff. The reception staff were really helpful even helping to get a specific football match on a tv for us to watch whilst we waited for our coach on departure day. The cleaners maintained our room very well every day and greeted us with a smile and a ' bon dia ' or similar whenever we saw them. Restaurant staff were just as friendly and helpful, working very hard and efficiently to maintain a great selection of food. Always smiling and happy to get any missing items and admirably working with real pace and urgency to ensure guests had the food choices they may want. There was a real team spirit here and throughout the hotel. The man cooking the omelettes and fried eggs, ran into the kitchen to get more bacon when he saw that it had ran out and I seemed surprised. Bar staff were amazing even bringing drinks to peoples tables with a smile when requested to. The same urgency and smiling service was seen in the bar area as throughout the hotel. The bar staff never stood still, either serving or cleaning the bar and pool area. As everywhere else nothing was too much trouble. We had a late airport transfer and even though initially the hotel did not have any availability of us keeping our room on.( We had not requested this until the day before departure) .Somehow the reception liaised with housekeeping and sorted this out for us. A very slight negative no FULL FAT Greek style yogurt available only fruit flavoured we can live with that and look forward to returning to Aqua Bertram Park should we ever be staying in this area. Couldn’t fault this hotel in anyway. Staff were lovely, Room was lovely and all in all just a great experience! We managed to get to the hotel from our transfer in under 10 minutes, despite the other reviews complaining about the map. Use google maps you will get there so much quicker. A good selection of food (although we only had breakfast and dinner) there’s something for everyone. Staff were lovely and so helpful. We arrived very late and yet felt welcome the moment we walked in. Rooms were gorgeous, very modern and clean. Great shower, and also provided with toiletries. Plenty of clothes storage. Shops, supermarkets and restaurants close by. Pool area was stunning. Places to sit around the pool and terrace. Beach is a 10 minute walk which was lovely to sit on. We went into Barcelona for the day on the bus and had no faults with getting there. Don’t pay any notice to the other reviews this hotel was incredible! Nothing to complain about.
