Hotel Rosamar Maxim - Adults Only

We were accommodated in this hotel 7-14 May 2025. We had a wonderful view, the room is a bit small but it has 2 balconies, one after the other. The first balcony is closed where you could sit if it was too cold, windy or raining, and the second is open so you can enjoy the sun. Comfortable beds, satisfactory cleanliness, fabulous breakfast.

Checked into the hotel around 11am and was met by a very helpful gentleman at reception. He explained that the room would not be ready until 2pm but we could use the luggage room until then for our cases. Came back and used the lift to our room on the 4th floor. Room was very clean and comfortable and a great view over the beach with aircon to cool room. Tea and coffee facilities and the usual tv in the bedroom and a good size bathroom with shower, shower soaps and hair shampoo included and a hairdryer next to the sink. Clean towels in the bathroom which were changed daily as well as beds made and i think sheets changed daily. We went for evening meal at the neighboring hotel which is 2 minutes away. If you are in any doubt about doing half board then just go for it. Meals were excellent, help yourself style with loads of choice, found it difficult to choose and to keep portions size down as the puddings were amazing. Wine was only 9.50 a bottle and the drink waiters were superb along with the waiting staff. Breakfast was back at the Maxim and is served 8am till 1pm so everyday we went out for a walk and came back for 11am. Breakfast was good, if not over hot at that time, but selection was great and loads of coffee. I only have one fault and that is with the sunbeds, there were no sun shades and most of the time we were the only ones there because of this. I bought a cheap sun ambarella from one of the shops so we could get our heads in the shade from the sunshine otherwise it would not have been bearable. The other issue is the small plunge pool is on another level and not easily accessible from the sun deck. You have to go back through the hotel and up to the 5th floor through the gym room. I used the outside shower to cool myself down every few minutes. Please please can the hotel sort out the sun umbrella's, 5 or 6 would make it great. Sun beds on the beach are 8 euro each plus 8 euro for sun ambarella. Fantastic to be 20 meters from the beach to swim early or even late in the day. Overall great place, great staff quiet and comfortable hotel. Hope to be back soon.

Had 3 rooms before got unobstructed view. Sun terrace dull, no shade or parasols. No bathroom facilities by sunbeds. No waiter service for drinks at sunbeds Unbearably hot and uninviting. Pool next level, indoor, no sunbeds only 4 chairs. 24 euros for beds on beach so bought 2 deckchairs and hired parasol .went to beach. Breakfast no fresh cooking all under lamps.not hot. No actual bar to sit at.no waiters nice reception staff clear tables between checking people in and out . Internal lounge on landing no waiter service here, dark blinds drawn down. Sister hotel Bleu is a proper 4 star hotel with proper bar, lounge. Have parasols etc but would not let us use them, as not staying there. Stated as 4star but found out with major tour operators only 3 star. I've stayed in better 2 star hotels with proper pool sunbeds parasols waiter service at pool nice lounge bar for pre dinner drinks. NOT HERE shame Maxim not same standard as other Rosamar hotels. Only positive is location but not worth what holiday company charged.

I travelled with my wife and unfortunately missed our transfer at Barcelona airport. We managed to work out the local bus times, which took 3 hours to get there but we went through the center of Barcelona which was beautiful. The hotel was in an excellent location with restaurants either side of the main entrance and a short walk to the lovely narrow street center. We went bed and breakfast, the breakfast was served from 08.00 till 13.00 which was ideal as we had many a late night. the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were cleaned every day. We had a great vacation with our friends and are planning a return visit next year.

The position of this lovely little Hotel is superb, right on the sea front with only the promenade between. The resort had a great buzz to it, especially on the weekend when all the cafes were full of people, busy but not rowdy. A ten minute walk takes you to the bus station and access to other resorts, and the same distance to the lovely square with the church. Our room on the 5th floor had a brilliant view of the beach and sea, with a lovely big balcony. Breakfast was good, plenty of variety and seating outside if you like. We had half board, so evening meal was taken in one of the other Rosamar hotels, just round the corner. Again, plenty of variety with chef bringing fresh dishes out and display cooking. The pool is small but we used it every day and also the sauna and gym..both free of charge. And last but not least, the lovely staff who were all so pleasant and helpful. They all worked so well together, as a team, and seemed happy in their work.
