Hotel Villa Garbí

This is full of 16 -20 year olds from Germany . Check in , my room want ready even at 2-30 pm , we had to walk over sleeping teenagers to get to the lift as they checked out at 19 o’clock and weren’t leaving until 6 o’clock . Rooms have thin walls and doors , can hear everything . My tv didn’t work and reception knew this and told me to use my phone . I was playing kick about with a 6 yr old around the pool , security told me this was not allowed , an hour later I saw lads playing football by the pool I questioned the security if this was allowed and he said yes , he panicked when I said I would see the manager . Don’t stop here if you are older than 20 . Food was cold On a plus side , marta , Brian and the othe bar staff were very friendly

Hotel Villa Garbi was an experience. The hotel is old (last renovation in 2002), rooms are dated and musty, beds uncomfortable and balconies are small. When we arrived, we were greeted with big pink signs for Ruf (a travel company for German teenagers) so the hotel was always inundated with teenagers. They played music by the pool for most of the day, with one day playing the same song on repeat for a good hour and while someone was (potentially drunk) slurring something into the microphone which was broadcasting over the poolside speakers. Not a very relaxing pool-side experience. There also seemed to be a herd of Italian teenagers that were noisy, and very unaware (although they were in their mid-teens so you can only expect so much good behaviour).We were told we had to eat in the hotel next door, which was fine, but the food was uninspiring and judging by the attitude of the staff, had probably been spat in. The staff manning the restaurant seemed to have a competition to see who can slam the plates and cutlery the loudest (even the Greeks would have been impressed) so it was never a good experience. You would get in, eat as fast as you could, and get out. The bar staff in Hotel Villa Garbi were good, and always friendly (no complaints there) but generally it was a rough experience. Good for an 18 year old looking for easy access to bars, clubs and other drunks, but I wouldn't recommend to anyone going on a 'relaxing' holiday.

We've just got back from this 6 night break staying at Hotel Villa Garbi. Well firstly we never complain about hotels but I must on this 1. This is not an hotel it's an hostel. We was on an all inclusive board. When we arrived we were informed that we had to go over to another hotel to have our food. And then had to pay a supplement for our drinks as we were from a different hotel, on the website it states a swim up bar, there isn't one, this is not a family hotel it's catered for 18/20 year old, playing very loud music from roughly 3am after they have been clubbing, reception staff very rude, not helpful at all, food is horrendous. Standard things you would expect in your room but no fridge for your water etc.

Wasn't suppose to stay here but the original hotel was fully booked. Arrived at midnight on the 5th of June. I noticed there were lots and lots of young youths staying here so asked for a quiet room. The reception guy said it's the best he could do. But the room was clean and had a small balcony. The noise came at around 4 am when they came back from clubbing. My bed was a metal springs bed which squeaked but it was clean and was so tired. Reviews have been bad about the food but found there was plenty of choice for breakfast and was hot. We ate at the sister hotel grand garbi which was only down 3 steps. I was able to use all the amenities. Free of charge. Internet was not good but reception area was the place as they were all around on their phones. Hotel is central set back from the main street and a minute walk to the front and beach. It's very like benidorm . Place is very busy and weather is gorgeous. Just wish I was young again. And most will speak a little English.

After travelling all day, we finally checked in, got ready and left for dinner, to return around an hour and a half later to see our door VIOLENTLY bust wide open. Suitcases were all messed up, money and camera stolen, to which reception said they couldn’t do anything about and refused to call the police. They didn’t bother to help us in such panic and tried to brush it off by saying it’s normal and it had been happening for a couple of days. As two young girls who felt highly unsafe and invalidated by the staff, we insisted and managed to get the police involved, and when we asked them to check CCTV as something was so off about this place, they realised there were no CCTV cameras anywhere in our building. We immediately checked out and returned the next day to get a report proving we never stayed and realised reception claimed we returned to the hotel at 2 in the morning when in fact we had returned just before 22:30. This hotel is completely unsafe and should be taken off of the Love Holidays website. Hotel Villa Garbi should also specify that there is no security or cctv within or around the hotel. There were thieves armed with weapons on watch out nearby this hotel and especially when there are young people planning to stay there and also families with their young children this is totally unsafe with potentially an incident waiting to happen.

REGRETS ! DO NO BOOK THIS HOTEL !!! LOUD , RUDE , NOT A HOLIDAY HOTEL !!! Me and my friend 4 girls 22-24 , booked this for a summer holiday for a party vibe and relaxation . Upon arrival at the hotel , it was ram packed with German kids under the age of 18, there is a scheme at the hotel for young German kids to come to Lorett de mar to party , as there are about 4-5 huge clubs here on the ***** . On our first night after coming home from drinks , the electricity cut out of most of the hotel , we went to ask what was going on at reception and was met with the most awful reaction . The male night guard who was there that night proceeded to argue with us and then tried to scare me and my friends . He told me he was the manager of the hotel , so we asked for information like you do when you’ve paid for a hotel and they’re no electricity. We wanted to know when it would be fixed , he said he doesn’t know and he doesn’t care it’s not his problem in a very angry manner which we all found very intimidating, and laughed in my face and said there’s no one else we can speak to and proceeded to laugh in our faces . Luckily the other Garbi hotels are not a reflection of this , and the sister hotel helped us in resolving the issue that evening and tried to make us feel comfortable . The next morning we spoke to the receptionist ( lovely blonde lady ) who went above and beyond to help us , after complaining to her and explaining the scenario and asking if there any chance we could move , she went out of our way to call the sister hotel and check availability, we paid and extra 72 euros (extra 12 euros a night ) to be moved to hotel gran Garbi , which is a lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff . Our holiday definitely improved from there.
