The staff were very friendly and helpful the room was spotless , tea and coffee facilities in the room ,plus TV my husband is disabled , they did everything to make him comfortable . The dining menu had a good choice. We had a good breakfast before we left . Our stay was for one night . Thankyou to all the staff. I would recommend this hotel .

Just had the most delicious home cooked breakfast in the cafe at fox and hounds. The host was really friendly and the service was excellent. Dogs were made very welcome. Had a quick look at the restaurant and bar for a future special meal and it’s a beautiful place (and great menus including a Sunday carvery), in stunning surroundings. Highly recommended.

I visited Cafe Slapewath while en route on the Cleveland Way. I was rendezvousing with some friends there - ordered a panini which was great and came with a massive pile of chips, just the thing I was after at that point. Recommended for anyone Walking along the Cleveland Way or in the area.

Only went here for a light lunch and not to stay. The restaurant seemed to be somewhat lacking in atmosphere and customers. The waiter, however, was very friendly and efficient and the order didn't take too long to arrive.. The food itself was extremely ordinary with no finesse whatsoever. The prices were very, very reasonable.

We stayed one night while visiting the area. Great location for visiting the North your moors and Whitby etc. Abby was very welcoming and made us feel very at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. We had the family room and the main bed was very comfortable, with a sofa bed for our girls. Nice quiet location with free parking.

My friend and I stayed here as we were going to a wedding at Guisborough hall. The room is basic but absolutely sufficient and only 5 mins from guisborough hall. Would recommend. We were able to check in early and the member of staff was really helpful.

Our Bike Club Collateral Damage stayed here for 3 nights Bed and Breakfast and ate here for 2 of those nights. Our hosts couldn’t have made us more welcome. The rooms are basic, clean, and the beds comfortable. The food was good and service excellent. You can pre order your breakfast and arrange the timing accordingly. It was a good base for us to stay and travel around from and would definitely go back if we are up that way.

Horrible smelly grubby place with terrible food. Its like going back in time, with lots of locals that stare at you. Really rude and bad vibes...have since found out why..... they support fox hunting. Don't waste your money OR give your money to pro-hunters and their illegal sport.
