We were met at reception by a charming receptionist, who upgraded us to The Bishop’s Suite. The suite consisted of a huge bedroom with the biggest double bed I’ve ever seen. A secret door led into a big walk in wardrobe. We also had a big bathroom with double sinks, and a separate wc. The bedroom had 3 floor to ceiling height windows with a first floor view of the grounds, and the town church in the distance. In the evening we had drinks on the terrace, followed by dinner in the hotel restaurant. My vegetarian meal was delicious and beautifully presented, whilst my husband enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak. Breakfast was buffet style with a big range of choice. The spa looked fantastic but our travelling schedule meant we had to get back on the road. We will definitely be back though and will try the spa then. The car park is also an essential part of our hotel checklist, and the parking here was perfect; right by the hotel, private, secure and plenty of spaces and some shade provided by the avenue of trees.

Passing for one night for a journey for work Hotel really falling point to sleep 1 night no more rooms are modern certainly, but wet, cold and noisy I took this hotel at the last minute so really at point of The staff remains very welcome. Breakfast is medium and a little cheap. The litter and good without anymore The bathroom is very small. I recommend this hotel to really have a cheap fall point. Very friendly host, stayed here as we were working in the area, room was clean and warm. Restaurant wasn't open when we stayed but the hotel owner gave us a map of the town and explained where was open for food. Large car park at rear of property too which is really handy.Would not hesitate to book here again.

The property is located just at the entrance to the inner city. For healthy people, it's a nice 20-25 minutes' walk along the river to get to downtown. Otherwise one must take the car out from the ample, relatively cheap, hotel parking provided, as the nearest tram stop is not that near, either. Rooms and bathrooms are adequate, breakfast is good, and the excellent restaurant deserves a separate review. The view of the Loire River and beyond from our high-floor room alone was worth the stay. The hotel is very popular, particularly as a stop for tourists on their way to Northern Europe. Thus, during the season it's best to reserve early.

We stayed here for one night on our way south. We had a family room which was fairly small and quite hot; there was no air con in the room itself but the main areas of the hotel were cooled. Beds were OK, more pillows were provided as soon as we asked. We found the hotel staff welcoming and there are excellent facilities including a pool and games room, in which everything is free to play. Pool towels are provided and there are rackets for tennis, bats for table tennis etc. There was a water fountain in reception and madeleines that you could help yourself to. There are plenty of places to sit and relax inside and out. Breakfast was good, lots of fresh food/juice/coffee. The scrambled eggs were delicious!

We recommend this lovely hotel for the excellent accessability, the choice of type of rooms, the warm welcome by the staff and the very good restaurant; be sure to make a reservation. The bar serves an excellent Pouilly Fume. The staff noticed my temporary disability with walking, so they made sure we got the room for handicapped. We shall be coming back!
