I LOVE this Ibis Styles hotel. It's a real gem. We stayed here a couple of years ago and decided to return on our way home from our holiday on the south coast in May. Last time, we stayed in an ordinary room in the newer building which was clean, comfy and everything you expect from the Ibis Styles brand. This time, we decided to upgrade to one of the chateau suite rooms. We booked a package including 2 course dinner from the bistro menu and it was very good value (tho we ended up having 3 courses because we're greedy.) The chateau rooms are more old fashioned with traditional furniture in keeping with the surroundings. We had an ornate bathtub rather than the usual Ibis shower cubicle. We enjoyed a pre-dinner cocktail in the lovely garden. It wasn't quite pool weather as it was early season but the little pool area is attractive and fine for a cooling dip after a long drive. Dinner was enjoyable - there are 2 menus and if you book the package you can only choose from the cheaper menu but that was fine for us. - My fish casserole starter was super although I have no idea what it was! We had Steak and a very nice burger. Last time we visited we ate from the pricier menu - which we also enjoyed. In common with all Ibis Styles hotels, breakfast is included in the room rate and there is good choice with fresh food. I definitely recommend this place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They speak English if you need it. Echo what another reviewer has said about the road layout. You can see the hotel from the road so you'll find your way in eventually even if your sat nav gets confused! You can drive in either though the front gates of the hotel or via the hotel next door. Plenty of parking spaces.
