This hotel is located in a very friendly, small village. We stayed three nights and freely walked the village and the Tulous often being stopped by curious villagers to ask us where we are from. It’s clear foreigners are few and far between in this village but everyone was very welcoming. We have no complaints about the cleanliness, location or breakfast. The rooms and hotel itself are beautiful. If you are a light sleeper (like my friend) the babies crying in the next room or the child and father laughing and chatting in the other room till gone midnight might bother you. If you’re a deep sleeper like me, you’ll be fine! The hotel staff didn’t really offer much information to us initially. You’re kind of left to it. But when I added them to wechat they did answer questions we had and they cleaned the room when asked. For future reference here’s some information for foreigners who make make the journey. We found two good restaurants in the village and there are small shops with basic necessities. You can arrange a car to take you to different Tulous driving distance away or you could just walk through the village and into neighbouring villages exploring the more authentic Tulous. To be honest, the “tourist” Tulous weren’t of much interest and didn’t take a single photo. The more authentic, natural, “left to their own devices” ones were much more appealing to us. You can’t get the typical shot from a hilltop of a small group of round Tulous here in this village but you can get so much more of an authentic small, relaxing, quiet village experience at your own pace. We had a driver from Xiamen airport - 3.5 hours there because he didn’t take the highway but the provincial road. On the way back to the airport we came via the highway and it was 2 hours. It’s quite far away but we think it’s very worth it if you go prepared. We would definitely stay in this hotel again. We booked this hotel, therefore the location based on the look of comfort and the fact we wanted traditional, with modern amenities so we could relax as well as explore. It ticked all those boxes.

I believe this hotel is the biggest and most beautiful in the area. It is completely in accordance with the Tulou vibe, making it a great place for pictures. The room itself is quite big, with a nice view of the inside of the hotel. The staff was kind enough to confirm all the details one day prior our arrival. Hence, we were able to sort out the missing details and arrive and leave with no delays. I would definitely recommend this place if you are already going to this part of Tulou.

The homestay is located halfway up the mountain, the surrounding environment is good, you have to drive up the mountain after 17:00 in the afternoon, and there is no limit to what time you come out in the morning. It is more comfortable than walking three kilometers by yourself. The homestay is carefully operated. The mountain is full of passion fruit, but the water heater has 40L. Don't adjust the shower in the bath, otherwise there may be no hot water in half of the wash. The fixed hair dryer may be good or bad, and there is a mobile hair dryer in the drawer. The air conditioner has periodic abnormal noises in the middle of the night, and the experience will be much better if it is repaired. The homestay does not necessarily have dinner, it is best to ask the boss in advance. Otherwise, you will have to vomit blood when you walk back to the homestay and then go out for dinner. If it is a horse race, this is a good choice, relatively quiet, and provides pick-up, but you must have a phone call with the boss. In case the boss is not able to pick up and drop off, you will definitely be impressed by walking back to the homestay.

The house was renovated from an earthen building. Before I came here, I was worried that it might be a scam. But I felt relieved when I saw the room. The check-in experience was quite good. The store was not as shabby as I imagined, but was very clean and bright. The headboard is made of old elm wood, and the earthen wall is deliberately left empty. It can be seen that care has been taken in the renovation.
