Excellent hostel in Hollywood! Convenient location, safe, clean and affordable for travelers. The vibe is relaxed and the staff are great, super friendly! Free breakfast was simple and good. The six bed dorm was great too, simple and exactly as expected as far as a hostel goes. Loved the common areas, and tiki garden in the back. Organized social activities were a cool way to meet other travelers. Many things to do in Los Angeles! It's a unique city!

Great spot!!! Right on Hollywood Blvd, easy to get around 💯 Staff members are so helpful. Ping pong tournament lots of fun. And the free breakfast was soo good. And the office is twenty four hours.. It makes it easy to ask any questions. Great place!!

So happy we picked this hostel! The staff were very welcoming. The building had gates and front door codes changed regularly. Generally parking in Hollywood is easily over $25-50, so paying only $11 for secure parking was fantastic! The free breakfast was simple, and filling. Some of our room mates used the ensuite kitchen to make scrambled eggs. The cleaning crew cleaned our dorm every single day. The location is close to Griffith observatory, Greek Theatre, and Hollywood Bowl. Overall, it was a great value: clean, safe, free breakfast, friendly staff! Will be back!

Fantastic spot on Hollywood *****. I loved the kitchen and dining area in my room, I made scrambled eggs at 2am. Cheap parking that was secure and played billiards all night. Super friendly staff, love the Palm Tree Garden in the back. Can't wait to go back, happy travels.

Stayed with 3 of my girl friends in a 6 bed dorm on our way to Coachella! The overall feel was clean, unique, friendly, safe. Gated and coded added to feeling safe. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Waking up to a free breakfast which had fresh bagels, hot coffee, fruit, oatmeal, egg sandwiches and other pastries. The room was nicely organized and clean. It's the only hostel I have stayed in that had a full kitchen! Awesome! Parking was secure. Really cool tiki garden in the back. Pool table, ping pong, basketball, lounge areas. This is a really amazing hostel! They also had a bbq social night which was fun.

Perfect for families, and friends! Remodeled rooms, clean, cool common areas. Free breakfast, friendly staff. Awesome price! They have organized social activities too. Solo female traveler here meeting up with some family in LA and this place was awesome! Felt really safe and secure. Will be staying again!

Stayed in Hollywood for the Holidays. Banana Bungalow Hollywood was fantastic! Super social and traveler-friendly environment! Loved being able to see the HOLLYWOOD sign from the courtyard! Breakfast was good, basic and FREE! Overall a super cute, fun and inviting place! We really had a good time and the staff were super helpful and nice too!

Only book here if you don't mind unreliable, untrustworthy management. After booking online I arrived at the hostel and the very rude employee informed me there was no bed available and I should go to another place. So I asked him about my reservation and he assured me he would cancel it. Before leaving I asked if he had already canceled it - he said yes. So I booked the nearest Motel 6. But one week later, at the end of my trip, running low on funds as I'd predicted, this Banana Bungalow hostel charged my credit card $77.35. The employee acted in bad faith because he didn´t cancel my reservation like he said he would. Unfortunately I´m not the only one who has had the credit card charged in the wrong way. They take your credit card details and use them as they wish. BAD VIBES HOSTEL. DO NOT STAY HERE.
