Hotel Bayahibe

I am going to tell you about my experience at the Catalonia Bayahibe. The pool is fantastic, always clean and very large, as for the restaurants, they are good, there is always food (I have read that they do not replace the food and at least it did not happen to me), which is true is the difference they make with the Europeans, treat them differently from Latin Americans, and give them privileges that others don't! I do not know why would that be?? In short, we all pay for the stay, it is the first hotel in the Caribbean that I have seen, they are so picky about clothing, although I understand the dress code, but it is the first time that I have seen people being rejected for not complying with it in a restaurant! You have to consider this. Finally, and something that I did not like, is that apart from the fact that the buffet caught fire and the facilities were impaired in their capacity, the guests of the royal catalonia, which is only adults, can also come to eat at the bayahibe restaurants, so at times There are a lot of people, it is obvious that those from Bayahibe cannot go to the restaurants on the other side (there are not many either), the beach itself is the best in Bayahibe without a doubt, no seaweed and no stones, with the aquarium front the combo is ideal! The price-quality ratio is correct, could it be improved? of course!!! A hotel to consider! PS It would be nice if the entertainment staff did not have to ask to be invited to lunch, as it reduces them to servitude and compromises the guest, and another point to take into account is the issue of wine in the restaurants, it has happened to us that we met guests from France and they realized that they fill the bottles with a lower quality wine, that is inadmissible!

Minimum opinion ✓ days we lost 90 minutes of our vacation so that they want to sell us a timeshare. The minibar is still not cold and we have asked for it to be repaired. The hotel has a Japanese, Italian, French and Mexican restaurant, to access you have to wait for them to give you a reservation, not being able to go to a different one every night that you decide, the day and time is set by them, the French one if you don't enter with long pants men can not access. Last night (08/25) we were just able to have dinner at the Italian restaurant and they served us quickly, since when taking an order they ask you to order a starter, first course and dessert to serve you quickly. The rest of the nights they have to eat buffet food, I consider it not up to 5 stars. Just Saturday 08/27 we have a reservation in Mexican. There are 14 days of vacation that in our case was paid with sacrifice and to enjoy without restriction. Lastly, the wine in the restaurant is the house wine, if you want a bottle they start at $25 per bottle. Much to improve in that aspect. Excellent staff, excellent complex and cleanliness too.

Nos hospedamos en habitacion privilege y la verdad que dejo mucho que desear, wc no funcionaba bien, a/c sonaba mucho,el personal algunos muy agradables otros realmente mal servicio, lo mas rescatable es que la playa estaba exquisitaaaaa !!!!! No volveria ni lo recomendaria ....

Hôtel bien situé et au calme. Mais service minimum. Pas d'ascenseur, il faut porter soi même les valises au deuxième étage. pas de sourire, aucun accueil, les réceptionnistes ne lèvent pas les yeux quand on rentre. Comble, 20US$ pour le petit déjeuner (on a pas pris). Wifi ne fonctionne pas dans les chambres
