A very special place. We wanted winter sun but to ‘get away’ from the bustle of life. This really fitted the bill. Our stone cottage was simply but beautifully decorated, really well equipped with coffee machine, fabulous wet room bathroom, very comfortable king sized bed, tv, wifi and a delightful terrace just across the main pathway for us to sit and eat at and enjoy the incredible sea view. Every time we used the pool there wasn’t a soul there! Worth knowing: you need a car really as there is only a petrol station within walking distance which sells the basics, if you want air con and all mod cons then this is not the place. The breakfast option was lovely but very carb heavy! Actually just what we needed before we went trekking! A perfect get away place which is quite unique.

Could use more pillows. Information for local restaurants etc would be helpful. Please supply basics like coffee, tea, oil etc. would love to see a toaster and spatula for frying pan. Please make access available for beach below. Need somewhere to walk without car. Not recommended for seniors as stone pathways are pretty rough.

Hacienda el Terrero is a place that feels like Heaven. The moment you enter their gates you see a big dragon tree and the infinity of the ocean. Then you go down the road and the white and stone casitas are welcoming you. The smell and the sound of the ocean are incredible and you feel at peace. It is amazing to wake up to the sound of the waves or have dinner on the porch of your casita surrounded by all that beauty. The casitas are super well equipped, so you can prepare your meals in their quaint kitchens. They also have a pool with view to the ocean and sunbeds surrounded by banana trees. It is the best place to disconnect from the city buzz, a great place to rest your body and soul.

We have visited the Hacienda right after the renovation. The house is very clean with comfortable bed, equipped kitchen, and a terrace with a beautiful view. The nearest beach is 3 minutes drive away. The host was very helpful and gave suggestions for the best restaurants in the area.

The exceptional location of this farm converted into guest rooms is enough to make Hacienda El Terrero unmissable. We stayed in “La Palmera” which had a window directly overlooking the sea, and a charming little terrace allowed us to have breakfast with the most beautiful panorama. The swimming pool is of course not big but fulfills its role perfectly. Access is not easy for people with reduced mobility, strollers or large suitcases. Tap water is not drinkable, otherwise you can always fall back on an excellent choice of wines offered on the menu!

We thoroughly enjoyed the view and the accommodations, which were completely ecological and sustainably furnished with all modern comfort. everything was also with respect for nature and the preservation of character. Feet in the water (or almost) by choosing “Casa Los Enanos” accommodation. A breathtaking view of the ocean from the bedroom window, small private terrace at the top of the cliff perfect for an aperitif or breakfast while listening to the waves. It was simply magnificent! The entire complex is well secured and no worries about parking. The accommodation was very simple, clean, well maintained, nice little bathroom, small kitchen, good bedding, and above all quiet. Even if the wifi is good and there is a television in the room, it is completely useless...just open your eyes and listen.
