Lotan Desert Travel Hotel

It was impossible to access TRAVEL HOTELS reservations center weeks in advance to book. No one ever answered the phone. A kibbutz member finally got them to call us back to reserve. On arrival no one was to be found to check us in and give us a key to our room, nor did anyone answer the posted number for reception. The various numers we tried either didn't answer, or after 6 calls explaining we were trying to check in at Lotan did the person at the other end say "Oh, we're at Sde Nechemia". After finally getting the room keys and settling down for a Friday afternoon nap there was a knock at the door awakening me.....well intentioned asking if the room was clean. Why would a room not be clean that you gave the keys to already and wouldn't you think that people driving to the Arava might be resting at 3:00 p.m. on a Friday afternoon? On awakening and attempting to wash my face, there was no hot water. And still on Saturday morning when wanting to shower there was no hot water. The room was expensive and our experience was most disappointing. We visit here about 4 times a year, often witih other guests but will steer clear of TRAVEL HOTELS in the future based on this disappointing experience. They are very good at bombarding guests with WhatsApp messages and links, but fail with personal service making a stay smooth, comfortable and pleasant. Need improvement!!!!

This was a wonderful experience, i stayed 2 weeks in kibbutz Lotan. The hospitality team was extremely nice and helpful, making sure i Skeates had new ideas of places to explore across the region: other kibbutzim, wonderful hikes in the desert, relax in Eilat. The room was simple but very comfortable, a/c - heater, fridge, microwave, warm shower. People around the kibbutz were very warm and friendly from the young volunteers all the way to the early founders of Lotan. I hope i come back again!! Thank you to all! .

came with a group of MTB riders. rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. rich, luxurious breakfast. great location for riding. service a bit clumsy. there are some options for dinner we didn't use; but we have had a relieving Yoga lesson.

We went there to a summer vacation (August). The room was great for us (clean-cut) . The breakfast was fresh and very tasty, and the people are very nice :) We took the guided tour in the ecological area. It was very interesting and fun for us and the kids. The pool is big and quiet, so we had a great time. We went to Eilat a few times, it's 37 min. from there, and we also went to Timna park (30 min. from Lotan). thank you for a great vacation !

Excellent place to enjoy the quietness of the area and the special environment of the ecological expertise of kibbutz Lotan. The room very clean and very comfortable, a nice picnic table in front of the room, and a big share kitchen for those who want to cook themselves. Breakfast served in the very special food truck restaurant and is very good.
