Hampton Inn by Hilton Zion Crossroads Gordonsville

I’ve stayed at this hotel on several occasions, overall it’s been a mixed bag. The hotel is a newer build, so most everything is fresh - however there are definitely ‘new construction’ type issues like others have said. No hot water in the showers, lights that don't work, drains that won’t empty in the sinks, broken shower doors that trap you inside the sliding glass shower when you close the door… it’s always something. Carol at the front desk has been helpful in trying to address any issues that arise. The problem is when she’s not there, customer service can be quite lacking depending on who is working the desk. Like others have experienced, you won’t be recognized for being a Hilton Honors member or given the honors promo upon check in, unless you ask for it specifically, and they are willing to give it to you – if they have it. During my most recent stay the room they tried to put me in looked like it had been broken into. The room entry door would not latch, paint was coming off the door jam, and they did not want to switch rooms due to what they said was "a lack of available rooms", though the parking lot was far from full. It took some convincing, but they did end up providing another room for my stay. Breakfast area, parking area, and the lobby is ok overall, but those issues with the rooms are the major drawback. Be forewarned, you will probably have some issues that will arise during your stay.

The lady that checked us in was very nice, however we were not recognized for being a Hilton Honors member or given our free gift upon check in. I didn't say anything about this as we were tired from a long day of travel and wanted to just get into our room. This hotel is new and so it was very clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable as was the room temperature. However there things my husband and I noticed as we moved about the hotel....Wallpaper that had wrinkles in it, door stoppers that were loose, our toilet seat was not put on correctly and the seat was constantly sliding, toilet paper holder was put on the wall at an angel instead of straight, sink was slow to drain. But most of all as my husband was showering the next morning the water went from warm, to ice cold. After about 5 minutes the warm water returned and then was almost too hot.I feel alot of this is because of whoever was contracted by Hilton to build this hotel. The breakfast was very good, with lots of variety and I would stay here again and the things mentioned above only slightly detracted from our stay here.

We stayed here one night on a recent vacation. It was a new hotel so very clean and fresh inside. I liked the more modern and updated furniture and the fountain in the lobby for refilling water bottles. Our beds were comfortable and the hotel was right in the middle of a very commercial area with stores and restaurants across the highway and a few small places next to the hotel. In the morning, the clerk at the front desk was very friendly and when she heard me complaining about the small selection of teabags, she went back to the kitchen to try to find me a breakfast tea. It's a good stop and right off I-64.

I stumbled upon this property last weekend when traveling to VA for a funeral. The property is brand new and was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast offerings were appetizing. Most impressive was the customer service provided by the front desk agent, Maurice. He was very professional and super friendly. He went above and beyond to accommodate my elderly godmother and ensure she was comfortable. Maurice was AWESOME and I highly recommend this hotel! We’ll be back!
