Hotel Park

We stayed one night here . Tour manager told us there are very limited hotels within the quiet town of Lovran.. It is a very compacted & rather boutique style hotel.. And more beauties as we explored it… It is built fronting the beach along meandering road. There is even a ATM and café embedded on the right. As we still have so e spare time the helpful counter staff show us the way to a nearby Kontzum of the neighborhood that is only 10 mins away, kudos! We stayed 3F and single functional lift brought us up-down well. Surprisingly room is card access (not large physical key) and the room view is simply marvelous, have attached pics to share of the breathtaking views of the Adriatic. Really wonderful for us.. Amenities are complete and there have a working heater! However the bathroom is small and one stands inside the curved cubicles to bath, one-step higher. The bed and blanket was esp cozy for me, enjoyed a good night sleep. And the dining experience was equally good too! The dining area is at 1 floor just steps from the lobby. Very cosy yet can seat easily close to 50 pax. The spread for both dinner & breakfast exceeds our expectation and there are some delicious local cuisine (bites, snacks) that is welcoming. Love the Hotel stay!

We came with a group, and the hotel staff has pre-assigned the rooms & gave the list to our guide. We were excited as we saw our group mates' (18+driver+guide) Seaview rooms. Hwr, we were assigned the worst room of the whole hotel, room 214. Both the room & toilet windows opened up to a huge metal roof at eye level, and that's all you can see. It also reflects off the west sun into the room. We were very upset & angry and couldn't understand why the hotel would assign the worst room to a paying customer? We paid the same rate as everyone else but got a lower category room! In addition, the shower head holder was broken.

Stayed her before and really liked it, especially the lighted walk along the Adriatic. Brought my friend here and it was once again very nice. Very friendly staff who actually remembered me from our stay before. Good rooms, comfy though a bit noisy as the windows face the main street and people seem to have the need to drive along there at 3 in the morning, especially with their mopeds and vespas. Breakfast is one of the best on the trip. Lots of selection and very good cappuccino machine. I had the place all to myself when I went down there in the morning and that was very nice. Lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance and the hotel has a pretty good restaurant also. Two gelato places right across the street. Excellent! Love this area and love to stay here. Only problem is that lots of tour buses seem to stay here and thus if you come to breakfast early in the morning, the place will be packed with those from the tour bus and they are like locust at the buffet. Parking can be a little difficult also. The hotel wasn't all that full and so I was able to find parking there, but it is tricky to get into and if a tour bus is sitting there, then good luck with that.

We stayed for 3 nights and booked this hotel as part of an organized trip, so the hotel was chosen for us. We had a tiny room just under the roof on the 4th floor with a very small window (401). The room was rather dark because of this. The hotel claims that the rooms are 24/26 square meters. Our room didn’t have 15. The hotel has this very old fashioned system where you have to put your room key (card) in a switch to have electricity in the room. Being just under the roof our room got very warm during the day but there was no way to start cooling when you were not in the room because of this irritating system of the room key. Cooling while you were in the room was not possible when you also wanted to sleep as the cooling was very noisy. Opening the window didn’t work either as the hotel is at a busy street. It was hard to sleep with this heat. The two closest electricity plugs next to the right side of the bed didn’t work and therefore also not the bed light. Tiny shower and shower head. Hard to get wet. Nothing close to a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was ok. Parking is possible at the hotel but troublesome. Hardly any parking space and hard to get in the parking as every day there was a bus (almost) blocking the parking entrance. Two out of three nights there were two busses in the hotel. But only for one night. Wonder if the busses have the nicer rooms although they only stayed one night. Lovran must have many nicer hotels than this one at a similar price. Wouldn’t go back nor recommend. Shall inform the travel agency to look elsewhere.
