Hotel Castelsardo Domus Beach

The location is great, on a quiet beach. However, the unit bath had a bit of an unpleasant smell. I'd like to stay here again.

English: Location run-down and squalid. From the very beginning you have the feeling of being in a hospital abandoned to the most absolute degradation. To access the rooms, after a first flight of stairs and a minimal elevator from the 30s, with a nauseating smell, yet another flight of stairs awaits you. Doors supposedly fireproof, held open with strips of old sheets or wire, corridors with a sliver of light, old built-in wardrobes as well as the floors, rigorously from the 20s/30s, dirty and full of dust on the sides but finally you get to the room... broken sockets, detached from the walls, dirt everywhere, including the sheets, air conditioning full of rust with a small bucket for water; the bathroom, tiny, immediately catches the eye dirty and limescale, to use the sink you have to close the door; The shower, small, narrow and full of rust and limescale, with a shower tray not only stained yellow, as well as the rest of the bathroom floor, but that floods immediately; the highlight is the toilet equipped with a water tank that in a flash throws you to the port when the ships "greet" on the way out, given the loud and prolonged noise of the same. The outdoor area? An abandoned place in complete degradation, a hole that perhaps once housed a swimming pool now covered with weeds, private beach? non-existent, reportedly due to the storm, but absolutely not true given the state of the stairs for access to the beach and the absence of any structure, considering the presence only of rocks and dirt. Not recommended, never seen such degradation.

The hotel is super quiet and 1 minute from the beach, the food is super good, excellent quality price, super clean rooms with air conditioning, the staff is a 10, and another 10 for Roberto, the hotel waiter, he is a beautiful person who treated us super well as if we were at home, in short, I was super happy, if you want tranquility this is the perfect place, the only downside is the hotel is a bit old, but I give it a 10.

Structure of times gone by. Once it must have been a holiday club, today it is only a distant faded memory. No fridge in the room, beach a few dozen meters away with private lifeguard but almost abandoned to itself. Having left after check-out I had to return to the structure (about 100 km away) to collect my documents........

Experience bordering on madness. My partner and I were supposed to stay there for two weeks, but our stay was interrupted halfway through the trip. The Domus Beach structure was chosen because it was necessary to have a hotel on the sea, accessible for people with reduced mobility, with the presence of a lifeguard and a private beach. My partner, 44 years old, had a serious accident just over a year ago and after months of coma, intensive care and rehabilitation (still ongoing) today has problems due to reduced physical mobility. He walks, but has motor and balance problems. Every day there were risks to his safety due to the presence of a decaying and poorly maintained structure. What is reported with descriptions and photos on the site and on the related platforms do not reflect reality. Those who stay there find: - beach accessible by a staircase that ends in the void about 50/60 centimeters from the ground. To allow the descent, a makeshift platform was placed on unstable rocks, which does not guarantee safety for those who try with difficulty to access the beach. - There is no private sandy beach like in the photos. There is also a rocky beach, dirty and in poor condition, where they bring umbrellas and sunbeds in poor condition for a fee. - There is no life raft on the beach. It is parked in a hotel forecourt and it seems that there is not even an ongoing concession for the management of the beach. If you try to report everything to the Director Antonella, she openly says that she is not interested in your health problems or your safety. She suggests, in an unprofessional manner, that you go away and leave the structure within a few hours with the tone and manner of a person who probably does not know what it means to RUN A HOTEL! She wanted to cancel our stay even before giving us the chance to book elsewhere... MADNESS! We suggest that the property take action and find a true professional who can direct, resolve and support all customers and especially those who have needs due to health problems. Finally, I would like to spend a few last words for all the staff in the dining room, kitchen (excellent and plentiful food) and floors, complimenting them for their professionalism and closeness.
