Jinshan Wanping Farmhouse

The location is unbeatable. The room is modern and clean. The service is top notch. The food is delicious. I will choose this place to stay 10 out of 10 times if I come back again! P.s. the photo was taken from our room.

10/10 experience! We absolutely loved our stay at Jinshan Farmhouse. The hosts kindly picked us up from Gubeikouzhen train station and took us straight to our accommodation, where we were able to drop off our bags and head straight onto the Great Wall! The hospitality was incredible from start to finish. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful, making our stay even more special. We’ve been travelling around China, and this has honestly been our favourite place we’ve stayed so far! Such an amazing experience, and we couldn’t recommend Jinshan Farmhouse enough. If you’re planning to visit the Great Wall, definitely book here! ❤️

We had an excellent stay here! Having one night did not feel like enough, the staff were so welcoming and lao bans cooking was AMAZING!! The room was spotless and the views were spectacular ! Also the staff helped us with the tickets for the wall and we got to go up twice !! We look forward to coming back in 10 years and experiencing the wonders of this place all over again, thanks so much again for a short but very sweet stay ! l

We had an amazing stay! The owner of the farmhouse is a renowned photographer of the Great Wall, and the beautiful photo albums at the reception are his own work. He is an incredibly kind and humble man, and his life story is definitely worth reading about. The hosts were wonderful, welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. The food was absolutely delicious as well. We celebrated my husband’s birthday during our stay, and they even helped us order a birthday cake, which made the occasion extra special. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we would highly recommend staying here!

This was such an amazing stay. Not only are you right next to the great wall so you can quickly head up there to catch the sunrise, the hotel itself is so spacious, modern and the family who host it are so lovely and welcoming. The food is fantastic, I especially loved the breakfast! The ticket gate for the great wall is practically right next to the hotel. You can see the cable cars from the hotel. But you can also walk or take a shuttle car to the wall.

Everything about our stay was perfect! From the point of booking until we waved goodbye, we were looked after. The staff were extremely welcoming and collected us from the Scenic Area entrance gate on arrival, taking all of our stress away. We had wonderful food throughout our stay. Lunch (noodles and dumplings) before heading up onto the wall and dinner (Kung Pao chicken) after sunset were very fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. Once we had come down from sunrise on the wall, the hosts provided a lovely breakfast which was included in our stay. We’d highly recommend this stay to anyone going to the area and would certainly come back! Thanks Jinshan Wanping Farmhouse
