Hotel Villa Casanova

Absolutely a five star hotel . Suite was very large bed divine bathroom first class . Service provided here is truly five star . Spent a day by pool and we were spoilt by very attentive staff. Meals were top class wine very good . Hotel is in country side so car is must it is very quiet location.

We had the most amazing stay! The hotel is stunning with huge rooms, lovely pool, great views and the most amazing friendly staff who really do go out of their way to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable! The kitchen catered amazing for gluten free diet with the best breakfasts ever and different each day! We hired a car and explored the countryside, Lucca and Cinque Terre! Thank you to the wonderful staff who made our stay so relaxing! It was perfect to relax and get away!

We stayed at Hotel Casanova for ten days during our vacation in August 2023 and it was a wonderful experience. Our suite was approx. 60 qm in size and was equipped with a huge bathroom featuring old English style art deco solid shower, bath tub and other amenities. Furthermore the suite has a wodden floor, huge bed, air con, TV, mini bar and safe. The surrounding area of the hotel is wonderful, as the hotel is located on a hill in a pine forrest with a stunning view into the valley near Lucca especially from the infinity pool. As long as the weather was fine, we had breakfast outside next to the pool. The athmosphere is tranquillizing and relaxing. Our special thanks go to the superfriendly and helpful team of Hotel Casanova, Andrea, Michaela, Greta, Francesco and all the others. Mille grazie! Hopefully we will be back in the future!

The only way to describe this experience is spectacular. The resort is beautiful and clean and the service is beyond compare. Wonderful breakfast buffet served on the pool terrace with your every need quickly attended to by friendly but unintrusive staff. As soon as you leave your room , staff immediately make up the room and replace towels. I have never seen such efficient cleaning service ! The rooms are huge, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom has a huge shower and soaker tub. Our room had a little terrace which looked over the Tuscan countryside. The restaurant menu for lunch and dinner are limited but very tasty. We had a car and there are lots of little restaurants a short drive from the hotel. The staff here are incredible and very patient while I tried my very limited Italian. If I could give 10 stars I would .

One star due to the following: Positive: the rooms and toilets are very spacious with beautifull furniture; and that is it. The website talks about "a new way of luxury"; well, Luxury is when breakfast is abundant and there is a first class choice; Luxury is when the outside is spacious and the swimming pool is big and heated; Luxury is when the sun is not trapped between trees and the building; Luxury is when the gardens are well kept and the **** removed; Luxury is when the lightbulbs are replaced; Luxury is when the guests can select the room temperature. Luxury is when the cook does not get angry when we tell him that his risotto is salty; Luxury is when there are electric fans available. Finally, Luxury is when the manager (the man called Andrea who I think was also the cook) learns to be professional and treats guests with respect. The worst is the fact that Reception controls the air conditioning and they decide the temperature of your room and it is turned off at 9:00 (see photos). I complained twice because our room 3 was constantly hot and the rude Andrea told me that it was October and if I were not happy, to open the window when there is a sign saying not to open them because of bugs. When we left, this man did not have the decency to apologise, help us with the luggage or even say goodbye. He is a despicable manager. I have to give my thanks to Greta and Ariel. They deserve to work in a better environment. Before this hotel, we stayed at the Bauer Palazzo (Venice) and that is Luxury. In summary, never again.

We spent 5 wonderful days in the Villa Casanova. The place is absolutely fantastic, beautiful house with stunning views. Everything was just perfect, starting with the warm welcome and the personnel friendly and very efficient. Nice menu available with a dinner at the pool. Our best experience to date in Tuscany!
