This is genuinely the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. On arrival, we were asked to pay immediately, we then went in to the room and it was freezing, mouldy, with peeling wallpaper and a gazebo up against the window so very dark. The curtain linings were hanging down, the toilet seat was yellow and the shower/ wetroom had such terrible drainage that the water just puddled around the toilet. The bed was dreadful a tiny mattress topped with a lump of foam. Staff were inattentive at best but realistically just rude, blanking us at the bar and then serving locals who arrived after us, immediately. There was no one on reception when we left so we couldn’t raise our issues. Avoid at all costs!

A old fashioned British coaching inn in character. We spent one night here before flying out early morning from the airport. The room was OK but everything was old and a bit shabby but worst of all there was NO hot water for a shower - plenty of cold but when you turned up the heat the water supply just stopped - NO water :( Not acceptable in a hotel in the UK. This was after we had eaten in the restaurant. The food was Ok , generous portions but the hamburger was very plain with a lot of potatoes but not as described on the menu. The room was also quite noisy - the walls are paper thin and you can hear absolutely everything - especially annoying when we had so little time to rest (we had to be at airport at 5:30am. The staff were very nice and friendly and it seems a pity to have to write such a review but... The price seemed good but on reflection pay a little more and try somewhere else - sadly cannot recommend this at all.

Lovely little pub. Rooms very cosy and comfy. Shower was nice and warm. Definitely would stay again. Nice and quiet stay when we went which was a Sunday, ready for our flights the next day. Would recommend, we didn’t have time to make ourselves a cup of tea but very stocked.

My wife and I stayed here for one night as she had a very early flight from Luton airport the next day. The location is perfect for that, as a taxi to the terminal only takes 5 minutes and is around £16. There was a bit of noise from the pub, but by 11-12pm it was okay and we had a good night sleep. Overall, I recommend this place if you have a very early flight from Luton.

Worst night I've ever spent I'm a hotel room. Noisy springs and uncomfortable bed.. shower door broke. . Lots of noise from drunk not only outside on the car park till 1.30am but also inside hotel corridor with drunk people shouting till gone 2 am.. Pub stated closes at 11pm.. but drunk shinnagenans goes on very much into the early hrs . Wouldn't recommend this as a venue to sleep and rest !

Our family stayed here to attend a wedding nearby and what a lovely inn it was. The staff were very accommodating and the rooms were nice and clean. The view from our room was amazing. The beds and pillows were super comfy (really want to know what pillows they are) I slept so well. They even had a vegan breakfast so a great end to our stay.

My stay started off so well and I was checked in by a lovely staff member who was very attentive. The room was cosy and the bed was comfortable. I was initially very impressed with the property for the price. My problems started in the morning. I went to the en-suite and wanted a shower. Unfortunately there was no hot water. I am a very fair person and do understand that sometimes things happen. I immediately went downstairs to inform the reception that I had no water and see how they could assist me. After a few minutes at the reception, nobody came to assist me. I then went to the hotel bar and still nobody was about to help. I then went to phone the hotel/bar using my mobile and nobody bothered to answer the phone. This is what really irritated me. There was no sign or explanation to anyone that there was a problem with the water and no sense of an apology. I had to wash in the sink using boiled kettle water - this is not what I want to do in 2023 before a long day at work. My advice is to at least provide one staff member on duty at all times. Thank god that this was only an issue with the hot water and not a real emergency such as a fire as you would literally perish in there with no staff intervention.
