Iberotel Luxor by JAZ

I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Iberotel Luxor by JAZ. My experience was unacceptable on multiple levels. First, I had booked a king room, but was given a twin room facing the street. The noise from the street made it impossible to rest properly, and this was not the room type I had reserved. Second, the facilities were in poor condition. The drain was blocked, and the bathtub was not only small but also dangerously slippery — a serious safety hazard. Most disturbingly, I experienced discrimination against Asian guests. While sitting on an empty poolside chair, I was told to leave because the seats were "reserved for white guests." This kind of ****** treatment is completely unacceptable and has no place in hospitality. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was the same as advertised although they charged $25 for a 3 hr early check in. It’s right beside the Nile and few meters from the station, Luxor temple and the night market. I was happy and grateful that they gave me a surprise birthday cake. The waiters were courteous and the breakfast selection was superb.
