Rosedale Bed and Breakfast

Superb place a bit old fashioned but loved it my sort of place lots of nik nacs to look at. Excellently cleaned and the breakfast was all locally sourced products cooked to a very good standard and plenty with more offered if you wanted would stay here again. Keith and Jenny the owners were very friendly and liked a laugh enjoyed my stay for a couple of nights wanted to stay for longer I will be back.

We stayed for 2 nights and I have to say our hosts are some of the loveliest, warmest people I've ever met! There is a very genuine and welcoming atmosphere at the Rosedale that is very rare to find indeed. The room came with all the amenities needed and is positioned in a quiet location, but also close to the high street where you can pop out in the evening for dinner (not even a 5 minute walk away). Breakfast was delicious and Jenny did an excellent job in providing a range of breakfast options.

When we stayed here for four nights, Jenny and Keith flew the flag, quite literally, for our anniversary. The room was small, but crammed with many extras that make a stay special - fresh milk and bottles of water in the fridge, tap water, biscuits and lots of varieties of tea and coffee. The bathroom also had plentiful supplies. We found the beds very comfortable and slept well. This is a small, 2 bedroom B&B, so the personal attention of Jenny is guaranteed. Her delicious breakfast was cooked to perfection and there was a good choice of food. The location is ideal, being on a quiet residential street. A gate in the back garden leads to the village car park and the shops/restaurants/pubs are just on the other side of it. If you are looking for a small, central B&B with easy parking, I would certainly recommend Rosedale.

We stayed for 2 nights whilst looking after a scouting expedition! The booking comprised of a 2 night stay in a Deluxe Double room which was more than suitable for my husband, I and our 5 month old daughter. If in any doubt on whether this property is suitable for a baby!! It most certainly is!! We were looked after so well! Jenny and Keith are two lovely genuine people! Jenny also works at the local museum, so I'm sure she can impart local knowledge too'! They really wanted us to have a good time and the effort that went into doing this was perfect...Certainly not intrusive but perfectly well done. The room was full of everything we needed! Even towels for my daughter to use after a bath! We had a small fridge, plenty of biscuits and tea and coffee, as well as a kettle, a USB adapter and so much more when you open the little cupboard of nick nacks! They also have beautiful smelling organic New Forest shampoo and body wash!! Just as a side note, which I feel is especially important! They are very aware of Covid and ensure there are wipes and hand sanitiser in the room. They also ask that when you leave you open the windows so they can come into a well ventilated room!! A very small ask and in my opinion very important in these times. Jenny also wears a mask when serving breakfast. They were also happy to share their opinions on local places to eat. We enjoyed 'The Forage' and 'The Fox and Hounds'. But Jenny's breakfast is absolutely to die for!! We didn't sample the sausages but they are local new forest sausages too, so worth a try too!! We both came away feeling like we were leaving 'friends'. We'd definately visit again!! Thank you both!! xx p.s Ellie loved the toast too!! Nigel enjoyed his fathers day breakfast too!! :)!
