This place feels like home. Family friendly with many outdoor activities in the area. Very clean with a welcoming staff and a great service. The food menu is diverse and delicious . My 4 years old had a good time. Will def come again next summer

We spent 3 days at Al Fundok with the family. The hotel was beautiful and exceptionally clean. Hospitality was second to none. Staff was extremely friendly. We also discovered while there that the Hotel was owned by a Foundation set up to help the village. Yola who runs the foundation was quite pro-active in helping with activities, discovering Maasser el Chouf and providing a history of the place. The food was exquisite, with most ingredients homegrown. Activities included hikes around the village as well as the Shouf Cedars Reserve (which is spectacular), workshops and farm visit. The hotel also had great spaces for kids to play. We have such good memories from this place that we are already planning to go back!

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy the scenery, away from the chaos of the city. Delicious food and friendly staff. Rooms are decorated to the utmost perfection. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway.

This place is very charming, very well run, great food and facilities but the best part is really the vibe that you get from the fellow visitors and the lovely owner. You can feel the love that has been poured into the place! Totally recommend and cant wait to go back

We had a great weekend at Al Fundok. Charming boutique hotel next to the shouf cedars with several spots to relax, tasty food and most importantly lovely and welcoming hosts. Will definitely head back

The fundok team welcomed us like we were family. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home and catered to our every need. The rooms were spotless and very tasteful. But the biggest asset of the hotel is its location in Maaser not far from the cedar forests...never have I felt so peaceful and disconnected. Would recommend to anyone.

You find yourself at home as soon as you step foot at Al Fundok. This beautiful hotel in the heart of the Chouf is everything you need: delicious local food (most of it grown in the gardens), amazing hikes in the cedar forest and a great friendly vibe in the many outdoor spaces of the hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and colourful. With a bit of luck, you’ll get to grab a delicious Lebanese coffee with Yola, the lady of the house who will tell you the story of the place! A must for a weekend getaway.

Whether you’re planning to have lunch with friends and family or spend a night or two in the Chouf, Al Fundok in Maaser el Chouf will exceed your expectations! With its ideal location, homey feel and hospitable staff, you are guaranteed to spend a lovely time at Al Fundok. They serve delicious organic food in a beautiful garden and offer comfortable and clean accommodation at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this location!

Such a special place, the warmth of the hosts, the quality of the food, the taste and design of bedrooms & living area… and the spot itself, such a unique place, feels like on another planet, above the clouds, full of vegetation and beautiful cedar trees. A must!
