Mabula Game Lodge

Had an awesome weekend away at Mahasha Bushtime at Mabula Lodge. Unit well situated with a beautiful view. Morning game drive with guide Lucky was top class and he is so knowledgeable and passionate about the wild animals we encountered. Had lunch both days at the main Lodge which was excellent.

What can I say apart from amazing experience. Staff very friendly, food was great and the service was excellent. A big thank you to Martha on reception for also being helpful and having a smile on her face. Thank you to all of waiters, kitchen staff and cleaning staff you did a brilliant job. 👏👏 If you get a chance to visit the swimming pool say hello to Stephen, who again always had a smile on his face. I'm saving the best and biggest thank you to Lucky our game driver. Lucky "he the man". Thank you Lucky for your entertainment and enthusiasm on all our drives. One day we will come back again.

Sadly we booked for an exclusive tented camp and were put into a time share room with torn linen at Mabula Lodge. Very disappointing.

Had a wonderful time at Mabuka. All staff very helpful. Accommodation and meals were excellent. Days out on safari couldn't be better.

Welcomed to the lodge by african drums and drinks. Our luggage was transported to our lodges by the staff. The rooms were spacious and well equipped and cleaned daily. The food was superb with choices to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. The game drives, early morning and late afternoon, were interesting and informative. The staff were so friendly and always welcomed you with a smile. 100% an amazing experience.

A superb holiday featuring a blend of early morning and afternoon wildlife safaris with bush walks, a visit to the Great Hornbill conservation project and the game lodges' facilities such as the pool and spa. There are also opportunities to go horse riding, quad biking and arranging additional game drives. I went horse riding and saw a Rhinoceros and her calf as well as warthogs and antelope. The facilities on site are first rate. The quality of the food was outstanding and dining in the Boma was exceptional. The staff are very accommodating to your needs arranging dining tables inside or outside on the terrace to meet your requirements. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. The guides are exceptional and do their utmost to make sure you see as many animals as possible and are very informative. The only animal we didn't see of the big five was the elusive leopard Better luck next time! There are many animals and birds that share the game lodge with you so if you are up to it a walk in the grounds will be a wildlife and bird watching experience in its own right. Sitting at the tables on the Terrace outside the restaurant you will encounter monkeys, rock hyrax, mongoose among others. There is a small Curio shop which has gifts to suit everyone. This was an exceptional holiday all round and one which I would definitely consider repeating.
