Hotel Central

I wish I could've stayed here my entire time in Macau. The rooms are not the biggest but the new design (finished in 2024) is brilliant and makes you feel connected to what came before. The hotel dates back to 1928 and was the original "President" and was central to the rise of Macau ****** culture, being a focal point of the fantan monopoly. There's an extraordinary neighborhood around it, which reminded my partner of Southern China and Hong Kong of the past. You can eat and drink in street food stalls, restaurants, and coffee shops that are much more than a hundred years old and original. I was inspired by the story of the man who renovated the place and the area, how he grew up here, led the investors, designers, and restoration team throughout COVID and finally they all completed the place. Well worth the trip and I would go again.

No disappointment at all! Every room in the hotel is carefully designed and full of nostalgic colors. Every decoration, furniture, and color match perfectly! The hotel has just been renovated, so it is very clean and comfortable inside and out. The hotel is only a five-minute walk from Ruins of St. Paul's. Through the noisy alleys, there are a variety of Macau snacks on both sides. At the end of the alley is Ruins of St. Paul's. It only takes 15 minutes to walk to the Grand Lisboa and Wynn. Every employee I met in the hotel was courteous and made me feel like a VIP.

Exceptional convenient location for quality food and historical scenery. Room is tidy, cozy with plenty of classy decorations, roomy enough actually. Just a little bit confused to the way the lighting switches are organized, for an example, wall light of bed side can only be switched on/off in the opposite side which is kind of inconvenient.

Located at a very strategic location. The room is clean and all the staff are very friendly. Enjoy the stay here

The location is excellent and very convenient to visit the tourists spots nearby. The staff are also very polite and friendly. Special thanks to the housekeeping department for the nice arrangement and introduction of the room facilities. Hotel residents are also welcome to view at the rooftop. Look forward to visiting the hotel again.

I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights for 3 adults and 1 teen. First time in Macau. We were pleasantly surprised and very much impressed by the complimentary snacks and drinks which includes daily 2 bottled water, sprite, coke, non-gassy sweet bottled drink, beer and even a bottle of red wine! There is even coffee beans and coffee grinder for you to grind and make your own coffee! We did not drink the wine as not a wine drinker, neither did we bring it home cos find it a hassle to put into luggage. The staff is very friendly. The only inconvenience is that the hotel is located in a narrow lane and there is no proper hotel lobby where U can take taxi. We have to walk about 2 mins to go main road to catch a taxi. But other than that, hotel is clean and it is near the Ruins of St Paul and few other places. Best part is it is near Koi Kei bakery where I logged 2 giant bags of almond pastry snacks back home.
