Chippewa Hotel Waterfront

We stayed on the second floor 4 nights in a small room with a queen size bed. Nice view of the park, street and fort. The cleaning staff did an excellent job. The music from the bar was annoying until we complained and they turned the volume down on our second day. The bathroom is very small and a separate make up station in the main room next to the bed..There is no grab bar or anti slip strips in the bathtub. No comfortable chairs in case you want to watch TV and not lay on the bed. Disappointed in the food at the Pink Pony. Not likely to rebook a stay at the Chippewa Hotel in the future.

So glad we picked the balcony room, it was fabulous! The weather was gorgeous. The pink pony downstairs was so delicious for breakfast and dinner. We also had appetizers and Rum Runners for lunch. All in all it was a very relaxing time. Their rooms and attention to details is priceless. Would differently recommend!

We stayed in a large suite facing the water. Front desk staff was great including Lewis. We enjoyed Brad as our bartender, who makes a great martini. The room was clean. Well appointed. Beds were comfortable. Elevator is tiny! Enjoyed our two different breakfast meals!

Bart and the rest of the front desk crew were fantastic! We visited the Chippewa 50 years ago on our honeymoon and decided to go back on our 50th anniversary. From the moment we checked in until we left Bart and his staff treated us like royalty. The hotel restaurant is always crowded in season and usually does not accept reservations but Bart arranged a waterfront table for us anyway. Our 4th floor suite, harbor view, was phenomenal. The hotel cleaning staff works long hours to be certain everything is clean and neat and the evening turn down service was a plus. There are numerous choices for overnight on Mackinac Island but you would be missing a wonderful opportunity if you passed up on the Chippewa.

It was my 3rd visit to The Chippewa Hotel. I like the location. Their rates are competitive and their staff is friendly. Got a room upgrade on my recent visit, which was great! I always enjoy the large spa and The Pink Pony is a great place for food and drink.

We were lucky to score a corner room overlooking Ft. Mackinac and Main Street. Wonderful to hear the horse's clip clops. Best personnel; spotlessly clean. It is much prettier on the front side than the water side. I highly recommend this hotel; just as charming as the Palace Hotel in Madrid.
