Just felt like home , I went for a break away from the city , beautiful scenery and plenty of places to visit. I will definitely stay longer next time. Peter and Al were so welcoming and the apartment we stayed in was just perfect for us, parking available which is always a bonus.

The amber suite is one of the most comfortable & spacious places I have stayed in recent years. The bed is inviting, the lounge is cosy. The owners are polite & always happy to help. The morning views of the countryside make waking up here an absolute treat

Room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Exclusive use Bathroom was separate instead of ensuite. A little chilly in morning. Full aroma of nextdoor farmyard. Attentive and helpful Host. Sky TV available. Lovely views across farmland.

We loved staying here. Peter was the perfect host, very flexible with check-in and check-out. Always there for a nice chat or in case of any questions. We stayed in the Amber suite, which was wonderful. Great bed and fantastic shower. Location is good, close to Derby, but no noice from the road at all. Lovely surroundings and good restaurants in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Last minute booking but what a find! Peter and Al went out of their way to make me welcome. The room was clean, spacious and the bed most comfortable. I had the best night’s sleep away from home. For me, this was ideal. So ideal that I will be booking again soon. Many thanks!

A basic but lovely rural setting accommodation. I liked the simple yet nice place which would serve the purpose if you are looking somewhere to live in the region. The venue we needed to go was only 5 Min walk. The host - Peter was very approachable and welcoming and an interesting person - a music lover. I highly recommend the place.

If as a business traveller you need a change from the hermetically sealed overnight stops, indistinguishable from one another, look no further. Pleasant host, perfectly adequate and just the right side of quirky. Oh, and ask about the train set

Great location just on the edge of the city, but lovely views across Derbyshire. Excellent service and friendly staff. Food and drink is of a very good standard, and lots of selection. Highly recommended for local and visitors to enjoy the Derbyshire delights.
