This is a boutique hotel in the center of Medeiros, on the western end of Pico Island Azores. The entire hotel has just undergone a complete renovation. Each room is individually themed. First impressions are how clean everything is. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is modern, with a stand-up shower. Bring your220/110 converter for recharging your electronics. Coffee service is shared in each hallway. Expect European style coffee. No Starbucks here. Awesome resteraunt downstairs, but make reservations for dinner. Weather in October is humid and 23c. Finding the hotel is a challenge, especially at night. The entrance is beside the resteraunt downstairs and hard to notice with all the patrons milling around. Big sign in front. Nowhere to drop luggage off. You have to block street to do that. An awesome clerk will meet you at the door, to check in. It's imperative that you contact the hotel when you arrive at Pico Airport. We rented a car. I suggest you do not. There's very little parking nearby. It's a very small, European style town, with extremely narrow streets and aggressive local drivers. All rentals here are standard shift. Everything you need is walking distance from the hotel. Take advantage of all the tours available. There's another island a short boat ride across the channel. Highly recommend this hotel if you enjoy a smaller hotel, centrally located.
