Beautiful apartments right on the Gran Via, in the centre of Madrid. We booked a luxury apartment for our three days trip. Ours was up high on the 5th floor, it’s an old building, beautifully renovated. Really comfy beds, nice furniture, spotlessly clean, a view of the world outside. Best of all, it’s sound proofed too. The metro station is up the street & a trip to Real Madrid’s stadium is only a few minutes away. Worth a visit. Shopping is excellent, all the major stores are right up & down the street, so leave some extra room in your suitcase. An abundance of restaurants with great food, are only a few minutes away. Highly recommend staying here

We stayed at the SoHo Boutique Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar for seven nights between October 12 and October 18, and overall, the experience was a mix of pros and cons. Pros: The room was a highlight—it was spacious, comfortable, and tastefully designed. Despite facing the busy Gran Via, it remained relatively quiet, allowing for a peaceful stay. The location was superb; most of Madrid’s major sights and attractions were within walking distance, and there was easy access to the metro for places slightly further out. Cons: However, there were a few notable drawbacks. There is no place to leave luggage before the 4:00 p.m. check-in time, and we were asked to wait on the street until check-in. There is also no lobby or seating area to pass the time. The reception arrangement is unusual—there’s no proper desk, and employees work from what seems like a small, exposed space the size of a broom closet. One of the staff even mentioned they were freezing due to the draft. Given that the hotel occupies the entire building, it feels like an oversight not to invest in a more functional reception area with adequate facilities for both employees and guests. The restroom for staff is on an upper floor, meaning they had to leave the makeshift reception area unattended when needed. Conclusion: Would we stay again? Perhaps, but it wouldn’t be our first choice. For the same price, there are likely other options in Madrid that provide more accommodating services, especially for those arriving on early flights.
