A Basic, Dated Hotel with a Touch of Nostalgia
This is a 2 to 2.5-star hotel — very dated, but clean. You get a good old-fashioned physical key instead of a card, and the gumolite flooring gives it a real 90s feel. It definitely feels stuck in time.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included, though you have to cross the street to a different building to get it, which I found a bit odd — but the stunning views from the bar made up for it.
One downside was the smell in the corridors — not very pleasant. It also got quite loud at night, and I saw some local construction workers staying there, which changed the vibe a little. Overall, it was an okay stay, but I’m not sure I’d return for around €80 per night

This experience was extremely bad. The room was not cleaned for a week, the quilt cover and quilt core were separated, and the waiter ignored me when I asked him to change it. I had to throw away the garbage myself, and there were no slippers or toiletries in the room. What's more exaggerated is that the toilet was installed with a small gap, and my legs were against the wall when I went to the toilet, so I could only go sideways. The toilet drain was blocked. I reported all the problems to the front desk, and they will help me register, but there was no effect, like a stone sinking into the sea. They also greeted me, but they just didn't take any action. So I can only, haha, leave this hotel!

The room I booked has a balcony which is ok. Overall, due to the European consumption level, I think the price/performance ratio is still very high. The hotel booked a two-meal service and chose breakfast and dinner, which is worth having

The location is perfect, it's a very good experience, Kathe, right in the heart of Madrid, and even more so in the heart of Madrid, on the Gran Vía of Madrid. The service is good, the facilities are also not bad, and the views of the Gran Vía are priceless.

Excellent location and very friendly staff. The facilities are adequate but could be improved (I was a bit cold), but for one or two nights it's great and highly recommended as it's very well connected. I'll definitely stay there again.
