Stayed in a Mountain Suite on a Monday evening and felt we almost had the resort to ourselves - perfect for relaxation ! Room was as advertised - spacious and well designed with two reclining chairs on the balcony to enjoy the beautiful view.
Quality and preparation of food at dinner was very good whilst breakfast was ‘a la Carte’ rather than buffet reflecting the limited guests. Both Asian and European breakfasts were available.
Overall - recommended and good value for money.
Spent an hour in the morning at Katiliya Park to enjoy the scenery and birds - beware the aggressive swans. We as adults were scared, young children would have been terrified !

There were a lot of bugs in the bathtub. I think this was the housekeeping issue that the manager didn't check the room's condition prior the guests enter the room.

Very good property in midst of nature. Good for a day or two. 7/11 and few restaurants 3 kms away from the property. Better to have your own vehicle if u plan to venture out

It was a very nice resort and during our stay it was really quiet. The staff was very helpful and the service was excellent. Be aware that it's a remote location and without your own transportation it's quite a challenge to get around. The restaurant has good options but some portions are not sufficient for a full evening meal.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the views are stunning!

Our 2nd time at Katiliya. Location is both a pro and a con. It is very out of the way, but in return, you get absolute peace the entire stay. The cleanliness is tip top for the property, although u get some visible fatigue in the bedlinen (with holes) and yellowed pillows. Can see the balcony has been freshened up a little. Service is top notch with great hospitability and swift responses to our requests for buggies. There is only 1 restaurant and 1 bar. Fitness centre is an eerie walk down to basement - not for the faint hearted. But overall we would come back again as its the best mountain view accommodation without sacrificing on comfort, almost at a luxury level. Breakfast spread was wonderful. Wished there were lifts though, as my mum has difficulties in walking and had to always climb up and down 1 floor to the restaurant. For such views, you might usually have to consider rundown homestays.
