Castle Lodge - Brecon Beacons Accommodation

From start to finish this B&B was great. The owners are lovely and catered so well to our requests. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed/pillows was so comfy. Breakfast was gorgeous too. Great all round. Would 100% recommend and 100% would come back!!

Well what can I say, absolute gem of a B&B, Literally could not of asked for a better stay, I was gobsmacked by how nice it is here!!! The owner was there when we arrived to greet us, lovely pleasent, easy going bloke who was very friendly and happy to anwser any questions we had. The place it's self is unbelievably nice, very warm and lovely decorated, big smart TV's, big comfy corner sofa, full size pull table, four poster bed, rain shower and loads more... really cosy lovely place. I can not emphasise enough how good this place is... we will 100% book this place again in the future!!!! It had every single last little thing we needed there... We loved Castle Lodge B&B. The owners are the friendliest couple, so welcoming. They are extremely hospitable, friendly and helpful. The room is huge, the bathroom is recently renovated and just lovely. The surrounding countryside is stunning. Parking is free. The breakfast was the best on our trip to Wales. Price was very reasonable. We got the use of the kitchen, full sized refrigerator, breakfast room and living room with fireplace. There is a gas station and small grocery store just down the road, with lots of basic, but good, food choices. We felt right at home in this lovely setting. Highly recommended!

There was nothing to fault. Room was immaculate, the most beautiful B/B I have ever stayed in. A friendly host, nothing was too much trouble. It was a privilege to stay here. Very happy and also well worth the price.

Wonderful B&B...we had a really lovely stay here. We had room 1 which was beautifully decorated, an amazing four poster bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom was very well equipped with a walk in shower cubicle. Everything we needed was there, a comfortable large lounge which was shared with other guests. Lyndon our host was extremely helpful and welcoming, a very nice chap indeed. Our breakfast was excellent. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation; spotlessly clean and attention to detail.

We visited for the weekend at Castlelodge recently and had a lovely stay. We brought our small dog, who was allowed to stay in our room. It was our first time taking the dog on holiday, but the owners (Lyndon & Mandy) were very welcoming and he settled in well. We brought his crate and so he slept in there, but the room is spacious so it was easily accommodated. We never let him on the bed or furniture out of respect for the owners. The room itself was modernised but still in context with the age and look of the property. The king size bed was comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep during our stay. There was a lot of thought that had gone into the room, attention to detail from the owners with regard to facilities, we never had to ask for anything. There was just about everything you could think of (home from home). The en-suite bathroom again was very well equipped, plenty of towels, Spare toiletries etc. The shower mat was a very good idea, often it's been a bit of a struggle with a slippery floor, so was pleased I didn't have to improvise! We were given the option to make use of the lounge area and kitchen, if we had stayed longer this would have been very useful. Breakfast on both mornings was very nice, hot and plentiful, nice selection of hot drinks, teas etc, We had a full English, sausage, bacon, egg, hash brown fried bread, beans, mushrooms, black pudding, toast and tomatos. This could be tweaked depending on your what you liked, we had everything! The lodge itself is set in a quiet suburban small village not far from Brecon town and tourist attractions, set in the Brecon Beacons there was plenty to see and do. Lyndon was very helpful in making suggestions of places to go and there was also plenty of leaflets and info available to peruse. Mandy, was also a lovely lady and we enjoyed talking to them both. We wouldn't hesitate to come back to Castlelodge again, thanks again for a wonderful stay.
