It's not fancy or the best facilities, but if you want a large room that is hard to find in Europe, this is the place. You can meet a very friendly front desk. It's a good value hotel that I would 100% recommend.

This is a nice hotel Within a very short walk from the train station. We stayed for two nights and it offered a clean, comfortable room, adequate for recovery from a long trip abroad before continuing our final journey home. It is also an easy walk to Mainz old town. The staff was kind and considerate when we arrived at the hotel prior to the normal check in time, by allowing us to get to our room early. The only drawback is that there were no quiet sitting areas for reading & relaxing. There is a cafe next to the reception area, but we did not eat there. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay and with easy reach of the train system.

The stay was great, my family felt welcome. We had rooms next to each other, which was very nice because I was there with the whole family and so everything was easy for us. We were also given great tips for good food in the area, so the location was also good. Next time we are in Germany we will come back.

I was at the Hotel Schottenhof with my work colleagues. We had booked 18 rooms in total. We were all very satisfied. I especially liked the room. The mattress was comfortable and everything was clean. The staff was nice and it was so easy. Better than any chain hotel. I would happily go back.

The location of the hotel is very good, right next to the main train station. Parking is available in the immediate vicinity. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are clean, very large and good for sleeping. Unfortunately, however, the sound is extremely thin. The stairs and guests in neighboring rooms can be heard very clearly. In the adjacent courtyard, many pigeons continue the noise. The quality of sleep was therefore zero. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast is simple (€15). Unfortunately, fried eggs or scrambled eggs are completely missing. The baked goods are of a poor standard in terms of taste.

Very pleasant stay. Clean, great staff and super breakfast. We arrived by train. The hotel is only a minute from the main station. Despite this, it was very quiet. Mein Einzelzimmer ging zum Hof und war ruhig - vermutlich selten, so nah am Bahnhof. Einfach und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, Stuhl, Tisch, Duschkabine. Matratze ok. Für mich hätte die Bettdecke leichter und weniger warm sein dürfen, das einzige, was ich nicht so toll fand. Weil der Frühstücksraum als Corona-Testraum umgewidmet worden war, musste in einem Hotel schräg gegenüber gefrühstückt werden - kein Problem. Sehr nett: Obwohl wir einzeln anreisten und buchten, durften wir einen Gruppentarif nutzen.
