La Casa di Aurora

I don’t normally write reviews. This was our first stop in Italy and we booked through **********. The check in was completely difficult. The meet point was in front of a completely different building and not what was advertised. The pictures are well done, there is no front desk/reception to the address advertised, this is not a hotel. When we arrived after a delayed flight and multiple attempts to communicate through the app especially on arrival and no one to be seen the lady spotted us sitting on the curb late at night and was extremely angry. Said we had her husband waiting all day. After repeat apologies in attempt to deescalate her she continued on yelling (As the customer this shouldn’t be expected). Another couple arrived during our check and she continued to point and talk about us to the couple in Italian. Calling us disrespectful and more. Thank goodness for google translate. At one point the woman in the couple was trying to calm the lady. The sign in process was absolutely unacceptable. The rest of our four night stay the lady was exact same behaviour. No words were exchanged, just scowling passing by in the morning and evening. Fellow Canadians there are a few other reviews mentioning her behaviour. We plan on contacting the hotels company when return to Canada. Maiori was beautiful, we do not recommend this place.

We had only one day in Maiori, but this hotel was amazing! Their breakfast is really filling, and the woman and the man helping there were soo nice! The man even dropped all the water bottles he was carrying to literally carry my suitcase down. He also made my family coffee, and the location is also only a 5 minute walk to the beach and ferry dock. There were also good restaurants nearby too. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a good and comforting stay. ⭐️⭐️🌟⭐️
